Chase's birthday is in 2 more sleeps. Then he will be 5 too!

The following documents are lists of words that go along with our guided reading program. We want children to be able to locate these words on a page in a book, read them quickly to help build reading fluency, and to use these words to problem solve reading words they don't know. For example, when we can read it, this helps us to read and write words like hit, fit, bit. I will also add a link to Jack Hartman who created videos along with Jan Richardson to help children learn these words. When your child knows many letters and sounds they may be ready to work on these words. You can give it a try. :) Begin with list 1. When that is mastered, move on.

Good morning Kinders and families! This is your home learning for this week. This week we will learn about Remembrance Day. I have shared a weblink to Veterans Affairs where you will find some activities for your child. The "Take Time To Remember" booklet is in a file below. I have also shared links to two of my favourite stories to read to my students at this time of year. The Peace Book (in the home learning document) and A Poppy Is To Remember which is a weblink. Continuing on with exploring Autumn, I have included some links to Hibernation and Migration videos whick you will find in Weblinks. Boom Learning cards are new this week and are great for both Literacy and Numeracy skills practice. I will add extra activities and weblinks throughout the week, Please read and write and practice math everyday. Take Care. As always, I am here if you need me. You can use this page to draw and write about all the letter Gg items you thought of. Any piece of paper will do if you don't have access to a printer.
