Good morning families! If you have any questions regarding our new packets, please let me know. There are 3 snowman pages in some packets where you have to identify the beginning sound. Those 3 pages go together and are considered to be 1 literacy activity in the learning packet. Please read through the note in your packet that outlines what is suggested for everyday learning. Thank you. Have a great day!

Level A Sight Word Review
Posted: January 19, 2022
Hi there families! I hope your day is going well. For Home learning today, you can try some ideas below or continue on with your established routine.
Read your books one last time before returning them on Friday. Below this post, are two links to stories about snowmen. Ask your little one to listen to both and decide which they liked best. Get them to tell someone why they liked that one more. Next, draw a picture of a snowman you would like to build one day. Add details like a hat, eyes, nose, smile, scarf and arms. Describe your snowman. Is he tall? Short? What colour is his hat? What else is in your picture?
Click the weblink to Jan Richardson's Sight word review Level A with Jack Hartman. They have many videos of the sight words we work on at school- our "Rock Star" words. Explore this to practive your words today.
For math today, play 10 up or Tens Go Fish. Work on 2 pages in your learning packet.
Enjoy your day everyone! Miss you!

Sadie and the Snowman- By Allen Morgan
This one of my favourite stories. Sadie makes the perfect snowman and when he melts she makes him over and over. Listen to this story. Respond: What was your favourite part of this story? Mine was when Sadie tried to save her snowman by putting him under her step to keep him out of the sun. I also thought she was really clever when she saved her melted snowman by putting him in the freezer. I hope you like this story!

Good Morning! You can follow the same routine you have established. Here are some suggestions for today~ Reading: Read your books. Practice reading your sight words. Writing: Practice printing your sight words. See how many you know how to write on your own. Choose 2 of your sight words to use in a sentence(s). Underline the sight words you used. For example: I can see the snow outside. It is so pretty. I love snow! Math: Play "Roll A Snowman". Watch Jack Hartman Count to 100 video. I have added some new Boom Cards for you. Message me if you need login information. Choose 2 pages to work on in your Home Learning packet. Have a wonderful day! :)
