Hi there~I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed the lovely weather. I'm sure many of you were out fishing. I encourage you to draw a picture and write a story about your weekend. Be sure to add a lot of details in your work.

Today we begin week 7 of home learning. The document includes some activities that I hope you'll enjoy. I continue to miss each and every one of you very much and wish we could be together learning and playing at school. I do look forward to talking to you each week and hearing about all the fun things you are doing at home. I love getting pictures so I can see your smiling faces. Keep up the great work!

This is a fun way to practice your number combinations for 8. You can adapt this game to work on any addition facts you'd like. I hope you enjoy it. There is also a link to a Jack Hartman video to help you review your facts.

Mrs. Sullivan-Goguen created a word work activity that I thought you may like to try. Print your list of "ug" words if you'd like and send it to me. Have fun.

Vowel Bat by Shari Sloane

Practice your vowel sounds with Vowel Bat!

Mo Willems is one of my favourite authors and his illustrations, while basic, tell us a lot about how the characters are feeling. I know my students love his books so I am hoping this will make them happy today. Read with permission by Scholastic.
