For anyone who isn't already playing there is a free daily Wordle game put out by the New York Times. It would be a good idea for students to go on using their school email account. I would like all of my students to go on daily and try to figure out the word. The program keeps track of your progress and how often you play.

  1. What type of writing is this?

  2. Using your "How can I begin my writing assignment? Here is how!!" sheet, identify what strategy was used to write the introduction.

Everyone will continue to work through their packets today but I would still like to see everyone on Teams.
Don't forget we will be having a major spelling test covering no excuse words and homophones when the students return to school so they should also be studying these words and playing the games in the websites if need be.
Grade 5/6 M
They really do have class today!
The remainder of the "Food for Fuel" unit will be research based, I'm excited to see all the great new recipes!
6 & 7 should continue to work on the work that has been assigned with their packets that were sent home in September. When they finish that they should be making sure their reading comprehension and Art Journaling packets are completed.

Happy Wednesday!
Everyone will continue to work through their packets today but I would still like to see everyone on Teams.
Grade 5/6M
The remainder of the "Food for Fuel" unit will be research based, I'm excited to see all the great new recipes!
6H
We will have another extra class for those who have fallen behind. I will help students revise and edit their main idea sentences and answer any questions anyone may have. Students are responsible to finish all work, correctly, and those who don't will need to give up free time to get the help they need to do so when we return to regular classes.
