Bon lundi tout le monde!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!!

Here is the homework for the week:

  1. Reading: Read their new french book once each night. This is their first french book that they can take home and they bring it back to school on Friday! We have been working on saying how old we are, so this book fits right in! If they are having trouble pronouncing any of the words, they can listen to the song on my teacher page to help them. We also went over different ways to help us read, such as following with our finger to each word, looking at the picture first, and sounding it out. Have fun!
  2. Permission slips went home for our Fletcher Farm trip, please sign and return to school. $2.00 for trip, and the school will be paying the rest.
  3. Sound of the week: We are working on our first sound of the week "A". I put the sound poem on my teacher page, they can sing along with it.
  4. Zorbit Math: Students are to log in to Zorbit math 2 times per week and work on numbers and patterns. They created a pattern today and they are to bring it back to school to hang on our math wall!
  5. Bring Library book back on Thursday
  • Bus evacuation: We will be having a practice bus evacuation on Thursday.

Have a wonderful week!

I have sent home a couple forms in the home folder, so please check the yellow folders.

I will also be uploading some songs on my teacher page that students are working on in class. Students are encouraged to watch the videos and sing along! :)

Tomorrow I will be sending home a form for the "Fire Chief for a day" contest along with a sheet for students to draw a fire safety evacuation plan with their parents. The contest is voluntary and can be sent back into me, or you can send it in yourself. The email on the form is misspelled however, it is

We will be having a practice fire drill on Friday here at school and are learning about fire safety this week. They will be bringing a book home with them today that they worked on for their numbers. They are not expected to be able to read all the words, but to practice reading their numbers in the book. :)

Bon lundi tout le monde!

This will be the last week of home learning for this school year. Please check the choice board and documents attached for some fun activities to end the year! This year has ended a bit differently for us all, and know that I have missed my students so much during this time. I did enjoy communicating by phone to parents and seeing my class on our skype calls though! :)

Even though this is our last week, students can continue reading throughout the summer to work on comprehension and fluency. This will help for when we return in September. I will be posting any website links that will continue to be free for the summer months. You can also go back on my teacher page and work on any activities that you may not have gotten to during home learning.

I hope you all have a safe and fun summer and I can't wait to see everyone in the fall! Again, if you need anything, I am only an email away at

Also, I hope to see everyone on our last skype call this week! Please check your emails for the invite.

Bonne vacances de l'été!

In Math, we continue to focus on measurement this week, but students are reminded to work on their DreamBox Math and work on counting to 100 in french. Skip count by 2,5,10 as well and start at a different number when counting to 100. (ex: Start at 28 and count forwards or backwards).

Hi everyone!! Some exciting news from our school district! They are having a VIRTUAL Olympics!

Below is the link to the Virtual Olympics of Track and Field and other athletic events that you can track and put in scores to win as a school.

It would be SO nice to see the whole class register and see if we can win! It would be a great way to come together as a class considering we are all physically apart.

Hi Parents!
The french website "Je lis" is experiencing issues with their audio portion for the books, however students can still read them. Until the audio part is back up and running, students can also use "ensemble chez nous" website:
This is a great website with narrative and informative books that students can read along with the audio or listen first and then read the book themselves.
Happy reading! Bonne lecture!
