Homework:
Our weekly homework was sent home today in the home folders. Students are to work on the sound of the week and their new book each night this week and return all on Friday.
The video links were not uploading right away, but they finally did, so they can use these links to help them with pronounciation.

Bienvenue les amis!
Welcome to grade 1 french immersion! We had a great first day together and students
learned some new words in French to practice at home!
Memos went home today so please check the home folders as a couple forms are to be returned to the school.
Picture Day is on Thursday for K-2 as well! Bring your smiles!

Just a reminder to students that we will be going to Carrefour Beausoleil to watch the show "Kalimba" on Monday (tomorrow)!
We will be getting back in the middle of lunch, so please pack a bag lunch, as there will not be enough time to buy in the cafeteria.

Bonjour toute le monde!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Here are some reminders for the upcoming week. Homework sheet will go home on Tuesday.
Tuesday: Library
- Spellathon tests will go home as some have money to be collected depending on how many words were correct.
Wednesday: Pink Shirt day- Students and staff are asked to wear pink to stand up against bullying.
Thursday: All Spellathon money is due on Thursday
Friday: 100 days of school activities, students are asked to bring in their 100 collection bag with their items.

Our grade 2 and grade 6 french immersion classes have teamed up with the Special Olympics event that is taking place in Miramichi this weekend. We have partnered up with a team from the Acadian Penninsula and will be cheering them on, on Friday while the athletes compete in Floor Hockey!
Our students have been working very hard on creating signs for all the atheletes to cheer them on and support them during the event!
We are very excited to take part in this amazing event!

Valentine's Day is tomorrow. Students are encouraged to wear pink or red tomorrow. :)
Flag day is on Friday as well. There will be an assembly in thr morning.

Just a reminder that our class has buddy skating tomorrow with their grade 5 buddies in Mme MacDonald's class!
It will be from 9:20-10:00.
Reminder to parents or guardians, to please wear skates if you plan on being on the ice with your child.

Happy 2019!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas break! Regular homework will begin this week, as last week was a short week.
The Homework sheet is in their yellow home folders.
If you have any questions, feel free to leave a message in their agenda.
A couple reminders that on Tuesday we have Library. Students will be able to check out 2 books as long as they bring back their books each week.
Friday: Spelling quiz for sight words to help reinforce their vocabulary.
Also, because of the very cold temperatures, students have been staying indoor quite frequently, however please continue to send them with their winter clothing in cases that they are outside playing.

Happy Holidays everyone!
Just a reminder to students that there is only reading assigned for homework this week. Please make sure to read your two books each night this week and log it on your log sheets.
Also: it is Spirit week at Nelson! Here are the following spirit days to earn points for our class!
Spirit Week - There is a theme for each day and minute to win it challenges on Friday for Spirit Week!
- Tuesday - Christmas Hat and Red & Green Day
- Wednesday - Christmas Concert 9:00AM - Dress Up Day
- Thursday - Christmas Sweater Day
- Friday - Favourite Team Jersey or School Clothing Day
I want to wish everyone a well deserved Christmas Break! We had a wonderful fall season and the students worked very hard in 2018! I can not wait to see everyone return in 2019!
