Homework (Devoirs) May 22-25

Homework for this week: 

  1. The sound of the week is the sound "V"(video is attached to teacher page) Students are to practice this poem at home.
  2. We are working on numbers 0-100 in class. Students please practice counting by 5s and 10s at home.
  3. Our Spelling quiz will be on Friday. I will send words home today.
  4. Library today.
  5. Mad Science is on Wednedays for students who are signed up.
  6. We have begun the GO for 42 Mango challenge in class! Any student who walks or runs can colour in the kms on our class chart. Students will also receive fun shoe tags as they accumulate kilometers. If students would like to take part in the mango Fun run\walk on June 24th, please return the registration form no later tahn June 8th.
  7. Any math or literacy sheets not completed in class, will be sent home.

Les Devoirs (Homework) 14-18 mai

 

Homework for this week: 


1.  The sound of the week is the sound "h" (It is silent) (video is attached to teacher page) There is also a video on my twitter page, as I was unable to upload the video to the teacher page. This song goes along with the poem.


2.  We are working on numbers 60-100 in class. Students please practice counting by 5s and 10s at home.


3.  Our next Spelling quiz will be on this Friday. I will be sending home the words today.


4.  Library is cancelled this week due to the Book fair. Students will be going to the Book fair at this time Tuesday to purchase any books they wish to. Please bring money in tomorrow. There is also a parent viewing on Wednesday at 5-7 pm.


5.  Math games will continue to be sent home every Tuesday and be collected on Thursday.


6.  The sheet about Healthy eating is to be returned to class. Students will be presenting the fruits and vegetables they ate throughout the week.


7.  Reminder there is no school on Monday, May 21st as it is Victoria Day.

Homework for this week: 

  1. The sound of the week is the sound "f"(video is attached to teacher page) Students are to also practice the word sheet at home.
  2. We are working on numbers 50-100 in class. Students please practice counting by 5s and 10s at home.
  3. Our Spelling quiz will be on Friday. I will send home words on Tuesday.
  4. Library on Tuesday
  5. Math games will continue to be sent home every Tuesday and be collected on Thursday.
  6. A sheet will be sent home with students about Healthy eating. Students are to draw the Fruits and vegetables they ate during the day, each day this week and it is to be returned next Monday, May 14th.

Les Devoirs 30 Avril- 2 mai

Homework for this week:

  2. Practice numbers 30-50 each night. Skip counting by 2 forwards.
  3. Our Spelling quiz from last week will be on Monday.
  4. Library on Tuesday
  5. Spell-a-thon priz assembly on Wednesday morning in the gymnasium!  
  6. No school on Thursday and Friday this week due to teacher meetings.
  7. We will be planting our Tomatosphere tomato plants on Monday!

Reminders

Just a couple reminders:

Students are to keep their math games home and bring them back on Friday this week.

Friday is school colours day. Wear Burgundy and\or gold to kick off Spring week!

Also, we will be having a presentation along with the other grade one class on Friday with the Solid waste commission guest speaker.

Homework for this week: 

  1. The sound of the week is the sound "s" and "gn"(videos are attached to teacher page) Students are to practice reading their words for these sounds as well.
  2. Practice numbers 1-50 each night. Forwards and backwards, and also skip counting by 10 forwards.
  3. Students are to read the book sent home atleast once each night and return it on Friday.
  4. Spelling quiz on Friday
  5. Library on Tuesday
  6. Reading buddies on Thursday
  7. We are working on Measurement in Math.  
  8. We will be going to a JMH theatre play on Monday. Students are asked to bring in $2.00.
  9. Friday we will be listening to a special guest talking about recycling with the other grade 1 class.

Homework for this week: 

  1. The sound of the week is the sound "r" (song is attached on teacher page) Students are to practice reading their words for this sound as well.
  2. Practice numbers 1-50 each night. Forwards and backwards, and also skip counting by 5 forwards.
  3. There will be a new book sent home this week for Earth day.  Students are to read it atleast once each night and return it on Friday.
  4. Spelling quiz on Friday
  5. Library on Tuesday
  6. Reading buddies on Thursday
  7. We are working on Measurement in Math.  
  8. Earth day is this weekend, so we will be celebating it on Friday April 20th.

  1. The sound of the week is the sound "UI" (song is attached on teacher page) Students are to practice reading their words for this sound as well. Students can also try to think of other words that rhyme with ui. Such as Suis, oui, etc
  2. Practice numbers 1-50 each night. Forwards and backwards, and also skip counting by 2, 5, 10 forwards.
  3. There will be a new book sent home this week. C'est le Printemps! Students are to read it atleast once each night and return it on Thursday.
  4. There will be no spelling quiz this week as there is no school on Friday.
  5. Math sheets not completed in class will be sent home.

  4. I will be sending home the book "Que vois-tu dans ta communauté?" Please allow students to read the book aloud each night.
  5. Pink shirt day is this Wednesday. Students can wear a pink shirt to support Anti-bullying. This day is also a half day for students.
  6. All spellathon monies are due back on Wednesay as well.
  7. Earth Rangers will also be here on Tuesday, February 27th!
