Hi Everyone!  I hope you enjoyed the beautiful weekend we had! Keep working on your facts and strategies at home.        Class Project With Texas  We are a little sad because we had our final report last week with our friends in Texas. Their last day of school was on Friday. We met with them on Thursday and Friday. Each student had a chance to talk with their pen pal; talk about the year, tell what they hope to do for the summer and ask some questions. Ben and Paige did a super job as the reporters. The class did two poems together, one about Miramichi and one about Texas. We had a great year with this project and the many activities we did. The students learned about some different countries and how climates can be different. Everyone had lots of fun learning!       Caterpillars - We have good news and bad news with our caterpillars. We had 4 butterflies that emerged, but one died. We still have 2 that are in their chrysalis. The rest of the caterpillars died. We are not sure what happened. The students were very excited to see the butterflies.      Timeline Project  In You and Your World, we have been learning about how plants, animals and insects grow by observing their life cycles. Now we are discussing how people grow and change. A good way for the students to see how they have grown and changed over time is by making a timeline. The poster and memo for the project were sent home on Friday. This is a great chance for you to go over pictures with your child at different ages and tell them what they were like and what they could do when they were that age. The projects are due back on Friday June 6th.    Library  All library books are due back on Friday June 6th.        Have a fantastic week!
