Hi Everyone!

I hope you had a great weekend! It is hard to believe, but it is our last week of school!

Phys.Ed - Our Phys. Ed days this week are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Homework/Borrow-A-Book - The homework for the week will be reading. Please make sure that you read each night and record the book on the log sheet.

Sports Day - The K-2 Sports Day will be on Tuesday June 18th. We will be ordering pizza for lunch. If your child does not like pizza, they will have to bring their lunch as the cafeteria is closed on that day. It would be a good idea to apply sunscreen and bug spray on your child before they come to school. Students need to wear sneakers, thay can also bring a water bottle and a hat.

Field Trip - Our class will be going on a field trip to Beaubears Island on Wednesday June 19th. Students will need to bring their lunch on that day. It would be a good idea to apply sunscreen and bugspray on your child before thay come to school. Students need to wear sneakers, they can also bring a water bottle and a hat.

Last Day Of School - Our last day of school is on Friday June 21st. Please note that this is a full day for students, with dismissal at our regular time.

We had a great year in Grade 2, had fun and learned lots of new things! I enjoyed teaching all of you! I wish everyone a fun, happy and safe summer!

Have a great last week!

Hi Everyone!

I hope you enjoyed the beautiful weekend we had!

It is hard to believe, but there are only two weeks of school left!

Phys. Ed - Our Phys. Ed days this week are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Library - We had our last library day last Tiesday. All books should be returned. If you did not return yours, please get it in this week.

Homework/Borrow-A-Book - The homework for the week is listed in the red folders. Our spelling words this week focus on the /ow/ word sound and the word work activity is on this as well. In math we are finishing up our work with subtracting 2 digit numbers and have started working on ordinal numbers. There is a reading comprehension story for this week as well. Read carefully, go back and reread, find the answers and underline them. Circle the right letter for your answer. It is very important that the students continue to read each night and record the book on the log sheet.

Sheree Fitch - We had a wonderful visit from author Sheree Fitch on Wednesday. She told us some stories, answered questions and gave us some good ideas to help with reading and writing. The students did some great art work in response to her book Pocket Rocks. Thanks for helping us with the Bedtime Reading Challenge!!

Credit Union - School Credit Union Day is on Tuesday June 11th.

Have a spectacular week!

Hi Everyone!

I hope you had a great weekend! It's hard to believe that there are only 3 weeks of school left!

Phys. Ed - Our Phys. Ed days this week are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Library - Tuesday is our last library day of the year. Please make sure that all books are back on this day.

Homework/ Borrow-A-Book - The homework for the week is listed in the red folders. Our spelling words this week focus on question words and there are also a few more words with /ed/ endings. In You and Your World we are finding out about life cycles and how plants and animals grow and change. We have started talking about how people grow and change too. The students are asked to make a timeline poster to show how they have grown and changed over the years. The poster pages went home with the students on Friday. This will be their homework for the week. It is a good chance to talk with your child and tell them how they have grown over the years. If you have photos the students could use, this would be good. If not, the students can draw the pictures for each event. The timelines are due back on Friday June 7th. If you have them done before this date, please send them in. Make sure you read each night and record your book on the log sheet.

Sheree Fitch Visit - Our school won the Literacy Bedtime Reading Challenge and we will have a visit from author Sheree Fitch on Wednesday June 5th. If you would like to pre-order one of her books to have signed, please have your order in by Monday June 3rd.

Jump Rope For Heart - Our school Jump Day will be on Friday June 7th,

Have an awesome week!
