Hi Everyone!

• I hope you had a good weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather!
• Just a reminder to please make sure you are dressed for the weather.
• Please check back here each week to find out what is happening with our class.

 Phys. Ed

• Our Phys. Ed days this week are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

 Library

• Our library day is on Friday.
• Make sure you bring your book back so you can sign out another one.

 Homework/Reading

• Work on your words. Remember to use the sounds you know to help.
• Once you know all the words, have someone at home sign the sheet.
• Choose a book from the reading bag to read each night. Remember to sign the log sheet each time you read. Make sure you use your strategies to help with your reading.
• This week we have our spelling words. The focus is on the long /o/ vowel sound, with the silent /e/ that makes the /o/ say its own name. We are sending them home to work on and we will be doing activities with them at school as well.
• This week we are practicing our math facts for the Numer-Action Fundraiser too.

 Water Bottles

• Just a reminder to bring in a water bottle that you can refill and use throughout the day. 

Cafeteria

• If your child is ordering, please write a note and put it in a bag or container.
• Lunch orders need to be into the cafeteria by 9:00AM.

Fundraising Kick Off

• Our Numer-Action Fundraiser kicked off on Thursday February 1^st.
• Information packs went home with the students on Thursday February 1st.
• Students are asked to collect pledges from people at home or relatives and friends.
• The students have a list of math facts to study for their test.
• All pledge sheets are due back on Thursday February 15^th.
• The school wide activity day for the fundraiser will be on February 20^th.
• All money raised is used to support student activities.
• We appreciate your support with this fundraiser.

Family Day

• Just a reminder that there is no school on Monday February 19^th for the Family Day holiday.
• Have a wonderful long weekend with your family!!

Valentine’s Day

• We will be exchanging valentines on Wednesday February 14^th.
• A list of students went home last week.
• Students can bring their valentines on Wednesday if they would like to pass them out to their classmates.

Flag Day

• Canada Flag Day is on Thursday February 15^th.
• Students and staff are asked to wear red & white or Canada clothing on Thursday.

100^th Day of School

• Our 100^th Day of School will be on Tuesday February 20^th. (As long as there are no weather days).
• A Memo is going home with the students on Monday, outlining some of the activities they can do, or that we are working on.
• We will be trying with the K-2 classes to collect 100 items for the Food Bank, so if you can send in an item that would be great.
