We have a busy week ahead, so let's get started.Come dressed for the weather everyday, be sure to pack and extra pair of mittens\gloves and socks.

Phys.Ed-We have phys.ed classes everyday except Thursday.

On Monday, January 29th we will be skating at our outdoor rink, so bring your skates and helmets.

Library- We go to the library on Thursday, be sure to bring your book so you can sign out a new book.

Homework- This week review your sight words each night. Students need to know these words quickly without hesitation. Once they do, parents sign the sheet and return to class. I will test steudents on the words and send the next sight word list,if they are ready. We are reviewing these words daily in class with our literacy activities. Remember every child learns at their own pace. In Math, complete the groundhog 10 frame page. Trace the number with a pencil and colour that many squares on the 10 frame. Remember to fill the top row of the 10 frame first. This is good practice when adding on from 5. Students know when the top row is filled they have 5, so they are adding 5 and 1 more each time to make numbers 6-10.

Groundhog Survey- We are talking about Groundhogs Day in class and wonder what you think, "Will the groundhog see it's shadow, yes or no?Please write your name in the box marked yes or no. Please return your sheet to class by Thursday Feb.1st. Thanks!

School Fundraiser Kick-Off- On Thursday Feb. 1st we are having our annaual school fundraiser kick-off.Please wear school colours on this day to show your school spirit. This is our second year doing  Numer-Action. Students will be given a set of math facts to learn. We are asking our family and friends for their support. Students will collect pledges and\or donations for how many math facts they can answer correctly and if the K-2 students can do 1 hour of exercise on that day. A memo will go home Thursday to explain all the details. Please read and if you have any questions, contact me at school, 627-4074. This is  the only major fundraiser we do, all funds go back to our students to help pay for school activities and events throughout the year. There are many prizes available for students to have a chance to win and some incentives for each team level. Thanking you in advance for your support! Go RAIDERS!!

Please bring your water bottle, everyday.

Let's finish January off on a positive note and ring February in strong show our true school spirit. Let's Go Kinders!!Smile and be good to each other.
