Hi there! I hope you had a fun weekend. We start the week with Parent\Teacher Interviews on Monday April 15th-8:30-11:30am. There will be NO SCHOOL for students.

As we begin our week together on Tuesday April,16th, please be sure to continue to wear your winter or rubber boots to school as the playground is still very wet and muddy. Please send an extra pair of socks in your childs book bag, just in case their feet get wet. Thanks!

Homework- This week review your sight words, complete the literacy cvc story comprehension sheet and play the math game Lucky 7's, a few times throughout the week.Have fun! The game is similar to Magic 6's. but now you must find partners for 7. Check the documents for the rules for the game. Read your book about Spring this week. Look for sight words, sound out cvc words and unknown words. Sign your reading log each time you read the book.Return your homework book on Friday.

Phys.Ed-We have phys.ed classes Tuesday,Wednesday and Friday this week.Dress in comfortable clothing.

Library- We will visit the library on Thursday. Be sure to return your book so that you will be able to sign out a new one.

School Fundraiser Prize Assembly- We will be having our prize assembly on Friday, April 19th. Please wear school colours.Thanks to everyone who supported our school fundraiser, it was very much appreciated.

Yearbook Orders Due on Friday, April 19th, the cost $25.

K-2 Activity Evening -Tier 1 Girls Volleyball team will be hosting an activity evening for the K-2 students this Friday ,April 19,from 6:00-7:00.They'll rotate through by age grouping (k-1-2) for some games, freeze dance, and maybe a craft (not sure if time will work for this though).Admission $5 (no canteen).  There will be random prize draws for those attending. 

Please remember to bring your water bottle to school everyday.

Hi there, what a very messy,snowy weekend we had.Be sure to come dressed in your winter clothes , boots,hats, mittens to play in the snow.

Solar Eclipse- Monday April 8th there will be an early dismissal for students at 11:30 to ensure they arrive home safely for the solar eclipse.Solar eclipse glasses were sent home with each student on Thursday. This is qite and event, Miramichi will experience 100% totality. This is the first time since the year 932 that New Brunswick has experienced this.Please be safe and enjoy the display. 

Homework- This week review your sight words, complete the literacy cvc word sheet and play the math game Magic 6's. The rules for the game are attached.Return your homework book on Friday.

Phys.Ed-We have phys.ed classes Tuesday,Wednesday and Friday this week.We will miss Mondays class. Dress in comfortable clothing.

Library- On Thursday, we will visit the library. Be sure to return your book so that you will be able to sign out a new one.

Report Cards go home on Tuesday,April 9th. Please keep the report,sign,fill out and return the response and interview sheet in the envelope.

Parent Teacher Interviews will be on Thursday,April 11th-4:00-6:00pm and Monday,April 15th,      8:30-11:30am.Interviews will be in-person, but if you are unable to attend please let me know and a phone interview or arrangements for another date can be scheduled.Please fill out your request on the interview sheet. There will be No School for students on Monday,April 15th.

Hi there, I hope you had a fun Easter holiday and got to enjoy some yummy treats. We enter April with a four day week, here's whats going on in Kindergarten.

Tuesday, April 2nd, is World Autism Awareness Day, to show our support, we are asked to please wear blue. Thanks!                      

Homework- This week the homework book will go home on Wednesday: Read the book "The Cat and the Rat" each night. Read the sight words and sound out the CVC words, use the picture to help.Remember the heart words (found on your word sheet with the heart under it) you need to know by heart, you can not always sound out these words. Students print their names on the reading log each night they read. Complete the at word family sheet. return your homework book on Friday, Thanks!

Hi everyone and welcome back after your snowy weekend. I thought spring had sprung but,Old Man Winter wasn't quite ready to say good-bye. That said, please come dressed for the weather, continue to wear your boots, snowpants and coat, hats and mittens.There is a lot of snow on the playground so come dressed to play in the snow.

This is a three day week, with no school on Good Friday, March 29th.                       

Homework- This week: Read your 2 books, In the Basket and To the Vet. Read the sight words and sound out the CVC words, use the picture to help. Students print their names on the reading log each night they read. Guess Whats In My Egg- On Tuesday each child will be going home with a plastic egg.Find an object to put in the egg and write 3 good clues (ex,It is round. It is bouncy. It is rubber. What is it?)that will help us to guess what is in your egg. Students should sound out clue words and print the letters they hear, so they will be able to read them aloud. Return your egg(in the plastic bag) and clues to class by Thursday, April 4th. Thanks!!

Wishing everyone a very Happy St. Patrick's Day, may the luck of the Irish be with all of you. How lucky am I to work with my love Kinders everyday! The children were very excited on Friday building their leprechaun traps. I wonder if they were lucky enough to catch a leprechaun? With all the books we read we know that leprechauns can be very tricky. Good luck Kinders!!

This week is a four day week for the Kindegarten students only, they will have NO SCHOOL on Tuesday, March 19th, as next years Kinders will be here for "On my Way to K".   

Weather- With the warmer weather, the snow is melting faster, so we are in for some wet and muddy days ahead. After playing outside the snowsuits and mittens are pretty wet. If you could send in a reusable bag for your child to send their snowpants and mittens home each day that would be great. Also, please send an extra pair of socks. pants and mittens for your child to have in their book bags just in case,Thanks!

Library- On Thursday, we go to the library to sign out a new book.Please have someone read the book to you and return the book in your library bag the folllowing week.

I will check your childs words and send home the next sheet if they are ready. Read 2 books a few times this week. Read the sight words and sound out unknown words, use the picture to help. Students print their names on the reading log each night they read.Math-Complete the math sheet,fill in the missing numbers, use a pencil. Literacy- Complete the beginning letters sheet. Print the letters with a pencil.Return your homework book to class every Friday. Thanks!!

We will be celebrating St. Patrick's Day on Friday, so please wear green or wear an Irish shirt!!

Hi and welcome back ! I hope you had a fun  and relaxing March Break. I am so excited to see all of you and hear about what you did on your break.

Library- On Thursday, we will be signing out a new book for the week.Please have someone read the book to you and return the book in your library bag the folllowing week.

Read the sight words and sound out unknown words, use the picture to help. Students print their names on the reading log each night they read.Math-Play the roll a leprechaun dice game with 1 or more people. Literacy- Complete the missing letters alphabet sheet. Return your homework book to class every Friday. Thanks!!

Your Roots are Showing- We will be learning about St. Patrick's Day this week. As we explore the holiday, the country of Ireland and the culture, we would love to know about your families heritage and which of our Kinders are Irish. A heritage sheet will go home on Tuesday for you to complete with your child. Please fill it in and have your child draw a picture of a favourite family tradition you celebrate. Return the sheet for Friday. Thanks!

Hi there, I hope you had a fun weekend.It's hard to belive we are in our last week of February. For our last week before March Break, we are celebrating school Spirit Week.Let's show our Raiders spirit and dress up for each theme day this week:

Monday - Jersey Day~Dress like an athlete

Tuesday - Retro Day~pick an era~ 60's, 70's, 80's or 90's

Wednesday - Pink Shirt Day

Thursday - Flannel, Wool or Toque Day

Friday - PJ Day

Library- On Thursday, please return your book. We will not be signing out a new book this week, due to March Break.

Homework- This week: Review your sight words, once you know the words quickly hava a parent sign your sheet and return it to class. I will check your childs words and send home the next sheet if they are ready. Read the book "We Can Be Kind" be sure to recognize sight words and sound out unknown words. Students print their names on the reading log each night they read.
Review the Home Practice Literacy page.Complete the math sheet,count the marshmallows in the hot chocolateand print the number in the box below the cup with a pencil. Return your homework book to class every Friday. Thanks!!

Math-Action Funraiser- All pledge sheets and corrected test were sent home on Friday,Feb.23rd.Please collect and return all pledge money by Friday, March 1st.Thanks for your support!

Let's have a super fun spirit week, Kinders. This week we will be discussing the importance of Pink Shirt Day and being a kind classmate and friend to everyone. We are kind Kinders and together we can share, care and have fun as we work and play.

Happy Family Day! I hope yau are enjoying this special day with your family!

                                                 

Happy 100th Day of School- Tuesday Feb. 20th, is the 100th Day of School. Please bring in your collection of 100 things and a food bank donation. The K-2 students will be celebrating this special day with some special activities . 

Math-Action School Fundraiser  Our Math-Action test will be held on Tuesday, February 20th, students will be engaged in a full-day of Math and Physical Activity. Please return your pledge sheet today,if you have not already done so.Good luck, Kinders on your test!

Hello everyone! Well we are cruising through February and what a lovely weekend we had weather wise. We are in for another busy week with a few celebrations. 

Happy Valemtines Day- On Wednesday the 14th, we will be exchanging valentines in class.The children should be working on printing out their own cards to thier friends please. A class list was sent home last week and is attached to this note.Please wear red and pink. We would like to wish all of our family and friends a very HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!                                                 

Flag Day- On Thursday, February 15th, we will be celebrating our flags birthday.Please wear a Canadian shirt or red and white.

Library- Every Thursday we visit our school library, please remember to return your book in order to sign out a new book. 

Homework- This week: Review your sight words and math facts each night. Read your valentine book "Look in the bag". Print out your valentine cards for your classmates.

100th Day of School- It's hard to believe but the 100th day of school is fast approaching and should be on feb. 20th, weather permitting.
