Hi Everyone,  Welcome back! I hope you enjoyed your long weekend! Please make sure you are dressed for the weather as the days are getting colder. It would also be a good idea to keep an extra pair of socks in your bookbag.    Phys. Ed  Our Phys. Ed days this week are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.        Library  Our library day is on Wednesday. Make sure you bring your book back.    Play With Your Food Art Show  Our 8th annual Play With Your Food Art Show, will take place on Wednesday November 26th. The Grade 2 & 3 classes will be making characters out of fruits or vegetables for the show. A memo was sent home about the projects and we will be sending home the black eyed peas and toothpicks on Tuesday. You can use these to help make the character. They can only be made the night before. Check out the image galleries on the school home page and our class page to look at pictures of previous years.    Math  We are working on place value, 10s and 1s and representing numbers in different ways. This is part of our unit on Numbers to 100. Keep working on counting in different ways and counting with money at home.      Homework/Borrow-A-Book  Please make sure you are reading your book each night and recording it on your log sheet. The homework for the week is listed in the orange folder. Our spelling words this week focus on the long /a/ boosy e vowel sounds.     Class Project With Texas Ally and Jamie-Lynn did a great job as the reporters on Thursday and the class did a super job with the poetry reading. It was still chilly at the beginning of the week down there, but it warmed up by the end of the week. We mailed out our letters to them on Friday. Our friends are off this week as they celebrate Thanksgiving.        Have a wonderful week!
