Welcome To Grade 2!

Each week we do a live report through Skype, with our friends in Dallas, Texas. We have 3 students to do the reports, which are weather, class and poetry reader. We are comparing our weather and are noticing many differences. The students have done an excellent job for the month of October.

The students had fun creating these Spooky Halloween Scenes. First they used red, orange and yellow paint to make the sunset. Then using black paint they made some different things we see at Halloween. Spooktacular Work Grade 2!!

We are working on the 6+1 Writing Traits. Our focus was on Ideas. Having a main idea and staying on topic. With this in mind the students wrote details they know about ghosts and then made their own ghost to go with their writing. Nice work Grade 2! Great work with staying on topic!
