We have been learning a lot about what our veterans have done and what our soldiers continue to do today for our country. The students created different types of poppies to put up for displays. Each week we do a live report through Skype, with our friends in Dallas, Texas. We have 3 students to do the reports, which are weather, class and poetry reader. We are comparing our weather and are noticing many differences. The students have done an excellent job for the month of October.

The students had fun working on Halloween themed reading, writing, math and word work activities on Thursday Oct. 30th and Friday Oct. 31st. Friday was black and orange day. There were lots of great pumpkins entered in the school Pumpkin Carving Contest.

 Hi Everyone,  I hope you had a good weekend. Make sure you are dressed for the weather.          Remembrance Day Service  Our school Remembrance Day Service is on Monday November 10th at 10:00 am. Please join us if you can. Students are asked to bring a donation for the poppy.        Remembrance Day  Remembrance Day is on Tuesday November 11th. Please take time to remember the brave men and women who have helped to give us the freedom we enjoy today.        Phys. Ed  Our Phys. Ed days this week are Monday, Thursday and Friday.        Library  Our library day is on Wednesday. Make sure you bring your book back.      Scholastic Book Orders  If you would like to order a book from the November Book Club, please have your order in by Friday November 14th.        Math  We are working on our unit on Numbers to 100. This week we are focusing on estimation and 10s and 1s. Keep working on counting in different ways at home.    Homework/Borrow-A-Book  Please make sure you are reading your book each night and recording it on your log sheet. The homework for the week is listed in the orange folders. The spelling words this week focus on the /ar/ sound.    Class Project With Texas  Autumn, Austin S., and Carson did a great job as our reporters and poetry reader. Our friends were very surprised to find out that we had some snow already. Our students were very excited to recieve their first letters from their pen pals. We will start working on our letters to mail back to them this week.    Have a super week!
