Happy Friday Grade 4/5!  I hope you all took the time to remember your veterans yesterday.  Here are your assignments for today.  

Literacy- 1) Read for 30 minutes.  2) Writing: Create an acrostic poem, using letters in a word or topic to begin each line. All words and phrases must connect to topic. Use the word autumn.

Math- 1) Go on Dreambox for 40 minutes.  2) Review your Multiplication facts.  3) Write down all the facts for 8, starting with 1x8 and ending with 12x8.  Play around the circle with your family using the sums, sitting down when someone gets to 48.  Or just review on your own.  4) Complete these facts- 11x8, 8x4, 9x5, 7x8, 6x3, 9x6, 5x7, 10x7, 8x9, 6x6, 9x2, 3x9, 4x7, 6x4.

Good morning grade 4/5.  Here are your assignments for today.

Literacy- Read for 30 minutes.  

Making Words Activity: See how many small words you can make using the word 'Remembrance'.

Quick Write: Would you rather learn at home or at school.  Explain the benfits of both and the reason for your choice.

Cross-Curricular- Read and answer the comprehension questions for the story "What Causes Seasons?".  This can be found in your covid packet.

Math- I will attach a powerPoint presentation that I would like for you to work through. Also, I will attach a Math worksheet to complete and a list of math games that your can work on.

Good Morning grade 4/5.  I hope all is well.  I am thinking of all of those families that are affected by Covid and wishing all of you a quick rercovery.  I am also looking for feedback on home learning: is the work too much, do you need more to keep you busy?  Feel free to contact me if you need anything or have any questions.  Here are your assignments for today.

Literacy:  Listen to the book "A Poppy is to Remember".  Read fro 30 minutes.

Writing: 

As the weather gets cooler, there are several fall activities that you can do outdoors. Choose a topic from the list below or select your own topic and write a piece of procedural writing giving instructions on how to do, make, or be your topic.

Science: Review definitions that I posted.  When we return to school, we will be having a quiz.  I will give you the full week back to study as well.

Math- Study Multiplication facts.  Complete any math worksheets that you have left in your Covid packet.  Go on Dreambox for 30-40 minutes.

Good morning Grade 4/5.  I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  Here are your assignments for Monday, November 8.

Math- Go onto Dreambox or Math apps that Mrs. Dalton sent.  Practice your Multiplication facts!

Phys-Ed- Go onto the school information page or Mrs. Baldwin's teacher page for a workout idea.

Poppy Art- Go onto pinterest and find an idea to make a poppy.  Feel free to share what you created.

Literacy- 

This week try to find some non-fiction texts to read. You can read a book about nature, an internet article, a magazine, or any other non-fiction text that you are interested in. Below are links to sites with free non-fiction texts. After you have finished your reading, choose two of the boxes below to answer.
