Happy Friday grade 4/5. Well, we survived the week and hopefully we are back together soon! I hope you are finding creative ways of learning at home and are enjoying time outside with your families. Here are your assignments for today.

Literacy- 1) Read for 30 minutes. 2) Art Journaling. I will attach it below. Get creative using the prompts on the slides. Draw a picture then write about it. I'd love to see what you come up with.

Math- Review Multiplication facts, which I will attach as well. Then go on Dreambox for 40 minutes.

Cross-Curricular- Science snacks. I will attach the link. Experiment and see what you can create to eat. Have fun!

Good morning Grade 4/5. Today is suppose to be sunny again, so get outside, play a game with your family or call up a friend. I miss all of you and hope we are back at school soon!

Here are your assignments for today.

Literacy- 1) Read and correct the errors in the story "Eddie's Great Idea". You can find this story in your Covid packet. Can you find all 18 errors? Circle them on your sheet then answer the comprehension questions. 2) Read for 30 minutes.

Math- Complete the 3-digit Subtraction with regrouping worksheet. Then go onto Dreambox or one of the apps that Mrs. Dalton posted yesterday for 30 minutes.

Art- Go on Art Hub on YouTube and draw a picture. Feel free to send it to me. I'd love to see them!

Literacy:

Making Words- How many smaller words can you make using the word November?

Quick Write- What is you favorite thing to do on a fall day? Write 6-8 sentences then share it with a family member.

Read for 30 minutes.

Math:

Dreambox for 30 minutes. Complete page 2 of 'Rock and Roll' Numeracy. I will attach the activity below.

Cross-Curricular- Get outside and explore the changes that are taking place. Jump in the leaves or go for a walk. Have fun!

Tuesday, November 2 Assignment

Literacy- 1) Read "Don't Spoli the Soil". Answer the 4 multiple choice questions, then complete the writing assignment on the last page. Write your opinion on one of these topics in the space provided. 2) Read for 30 minutes.

Physical Activity- Outdoor Scavenger Hunt. It's going to be a beautiful day outside, so get out and fins as many of the items as you can. Please feel free to send me pictures of your findings. Happy hunting :)

Math- Dreambox for 30 minutes, then complete page 2 (3 digit addition with regrouping worksheet).

Good morning Grade 4/5. I hope you had a wonderful Halloween and I can't wait to hear all about it! Attached is a link for a virtual classroom if you wish to follow the regular classroom schedule. Literacy Activities: 1) Read for 20-30 minutes. 2) Write about your Halloween experience. Weather you went trick or treating, gathered with family, watched a scary movie or played games, write 10-12 sentences using proper punctuation. Check for spelling errors and share it with a family member. Math activities: Complete pages 1, 3-digit addition and subtraction sheets. Then go on either Dreambox or fun4thebrain for 30 minutes. I will ask for all completed worksheets and assignments to be brought into school when we return. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me. Also, students are encouraged to get outside for some physical activity. :)

There will be no spelling this week. Students are asked to read for 20 minutes each evening and log it. Grade 5 students also have a Math sheet to complete before Friday.
