Grade 5 math assignment for Tuesday, January 18.
Watch "The Long Division Song" video and Brain Pop Division video. Then complete snowman division sheet. Think about how many groups would go into the big number. Ex: 23 divided by 4? How many groups of 4 are there in 23? If you know your multiplication facts that will help you. You could also draw a picture. Or you can skip count by 4's (4, 8, 12, 16, 20). So there 5 equal groups of 4, then you would have a remainder of 3.
Play the game- Croc Doc Division (#6). Try the relaxed version at first. If something happens that you can't get into it, then go on Dreambox or Boom Cards. I will attach the link for this game and the videos.
