Zoo-Phonics Jerry jellyfish

We have worked on the sound of letters j and k this week. We had so much fun making our jellyfish crafts. There were even more fun to play with. We went on National Geographic for kids and learned many interesting facts about jellyfish. We look forward to finding out more about kangaroos next week.

Halloween Fun!

The children had a lot of fun making Halloween crafts and celebrating the day at school. We had a fun party with lots of yummy treats.

Happy Halloween!

I hope everyone has a very safe and happy Halloween! Please don't forget we have skating on Monday. We have worked on our Zoo-phonics letters up to h thus far. We will continue on with Honey Horse and Inny inchworm next week.

October 13,2009- ELEPHANTS

Hopefully everyone had an excellent Thanksgiving weekend. I know I did. Today we visited a really cool website for children called National Geographics for Kids. We watched a video and read about elephants. We made Ellie elephant puppets this morning and practiced making the letter "e". We also played a game where we had to decide what Ellie elephant would like such as elevators, exit signs, and exercise. We worked hard today.   Don't forget!!! Picture retakes tomorrow!

More October News

  I hope everyone has a very nice Thanksgiving weekend. We will see the children again on Tuesday!      We are having a "Fire Safety" presentation tomorrow, October 7. Please discuss with your child what they have learned about Fire Safety at school.

Happy October!

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              October is here and what an exciting month it is. We went to the Apple Orchard today and had an excellent trip. Thanksgiving is coming up and we are busy making crafts to share with our families. Next week we have a Fire Safety presentation and will be practicing how to exit our school safely when the fire bell rings. We will also be visiting the Hospital for a tour later this month. Happy October to you all!

More September News!

Parent Information Night September 24 at 6:00pm Hope to see you there!     Remember to practice your "ZooPhonics" animal sounds and actions! We have been working on Allie, Bubba, Catina and DeeDee Deer's sounds a lot this week.       Library books are due back each Wednesday!!         We are going to visit McAllister Farm next Friday, October 2. We will be picking apples in the orchard and learning about how the farmers harvest the apples.

Kindergarten News- September!

Welcome to our class page. We have been having a lot of fun in Kindergarten thus far. It has been a wonderful, sunny September.       Bus Safety - Today we practiced Bus Safety Rules and how to evacuate a bus if an emergency should arise.         Important dates this month: Book orders are due this Friday- September 25 Terry Fox Walk- Friday- September 25
