If you want to play Snakes and Ladders but don't have the game board you can make your own like Mrs. Sullivan-Goguen. I will share a picture of her game board. Ms. Moar created one on her driveway that was a lot of fun as well. Here is the link :) http://nelsonrural.nbed.nb.ca/ms-moar/video/snakes-ladders-fun-numbers Have fun!

This week we are focusing on measurement. We suggest that you draw a snake (cut it out) and measure yourself (using string, twine or yarn) and use these to compare with other objects to find something that is longer, shorter or about the same length. You can also measure your snake and your height using non-standard measurement. For example, use your string and see how many shoes long you are. Or how many markers long you are. I will link a video that shows how to measure using non-standard units of measurement. Be creative and have fun!

Practice reading these words. Once you have mastered them, practice spelling/writing them. These words are used repeatedly in our levelled texts. Being able ro read these words by sight helps to develop reading fluency. When learning to print these words it is always fun to use different writing materials such as markers, pens, chalk and play-doh. You can also print words in shaving cream, build with beads, lego or even rocks- if you're outside. The most important thing to remember is to go at your own pace and have fun practicing.

Good Morning everyone! I just wanted to say that I miss you very much and think about you everyday. Our year together was cut short and I must say I am very sad about that. I loved connecting with you all last week and look forward to connecting with you again soon.

As we start our "Home Learning" journey together please reach out to me if you have any questions/updates regarding your child's learning. I know this this not the norm or the way we want to be doing this but we are all in this together and will learn as we go. I have included many options for learning and you can decide how to proceed. Just do what you can, when you can and have fun learning.

I have suggested that you choose 2-3 options from the boxes on the home learning notes to do each week as well as reading daily and practicing math. I would love to see your child write on a regular basis as well. However, these are just suggestions. Work away according to your schedule. I know everyone's situation is different. Do what works best for you and your family. The main thing is to stay safe and make many wonderful memories together.

Enjoy this beautiful day! Take Care. Please reach out if you need any support :) chantal.poole@nbed.nb.ca

Sending love and hugs your way.
