Grade 2 News

Hi Everyone, Hope you enjoyed the weekend and remembered to set your clocks back. Just a reminder that this is a four day week. Phys.Ed Our Phys.Ed days are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Library Wednesday is our library day. Remember to bring your book back. Remembrance Day Service We will be having our school Remembrance Day Service on Thursday November 10th at 10:00am. International Project We will be having our first video conference with our friends in Texas on Thursday. The students will have the chance to talk with their buddy and find out a little more about them. Rememberance Day Friday November 11th is Rememberance Day. A special thank you to all veterans and to those brave men and women who are still serving our country. Thank you for our freedom and allowing us to live in such a wonderful country. Take time to remember. Skating Our first skating day of the season will be next Thursday November 17th, from 9:00 - 9:40am. Students will need skates and a helmet. Have a great week!

Hi Everyone, Happy Halloween! I hope all students have a fun and safe night when they are out trick or treating. Phys.Ed Our Phys.Ed days are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Library Our library day is on Wednesday. Remember to bring your book. International Project Friday was a very exciting day, as we had our first live weather and class report with our friends in Texas. Luc, Kate and Skylar did a super job as the reporters. It was great to see our friends and find out a little bit more about them. We will be doing weekly reports and each student will have a chance to be the reporter. No School Just a reminder that there is no school for students on Friday November 4th. Have a great week!

Hi Everyone, Hope you had a fun and restful weekend. It is hard to believe we are into the last week of October! Phys.Ed We had Phys.Ed today and have it again on Wednesday and Thursday. Library Our library day is on Wednesday. Remember to bring your book back. Fast ForWord We are into our 5th week of the computer based literacy program. The students are working hard every day and are trying to beat their scores. The program helps with different literacy aspects along with memory, attention, processing and sequencing. Pumpkin Carving Contest The Home and School is sponsoring a pumpkin carving contest for the students on Wednesday October 26th. If you would like to participate, bring your carved pumpkin to school on Wednesday. Borrow-A-Book Just a reminder to make sure you read each night and record the book on your log sheet. Hi Everyone, It is hard to believe that we are into our third week of October. Just a reminder that Interim reports go home today. Phys.Ed We have Phys.Ed on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Library Library day is on Wednesday. Remember to bring your book back. School Clothing Orders Anyone wishing to place orders for school clothing can come to the school on Wednesday October 19th from 9:00am - 3:00pm. Credit Union Day Tuesday October 18th is the school Credit Union Day. Book Orders Scholastic Book Orders are due back on Thursday October 20th. No School Just a reminder that there is no school for students on Friday October 21st, as it is a Curriculum Day for teachers. Have a great week!
