Welcome Back!  I hope that everyone had a great weekend! What a beautiful day we had on Sunday! This is only a four day week for the students.      Tulips Planted  On Tuesday October 19th we planted our tulips. It was very chilly and windy, but we planted 50 Red Emperor tulips. We are keeping a journal to record their changes and are comparing our garden with our class in Dallas Texas.                               International Project  We had a successful weekly weather and class report last week. The new system worked great and we could hear and see each other. Josh and Emily did a great job as the reporters and Madelyn did a super poetry reading. This weeks report will be done on Thursday.      No School  Just a reminder that there is no school for the students on Wednesday October 27th.      Skating  Our first skating day of the year is on Monday November 1st. The ice time is from 9:00 - 9:40. Students are required to have skates and a helmet. Parents are welcome to come and join us.      Borrow-A-Book  Just a reminder that it is important that the students read each night and record their reading on the log sheet.        Have a great week!  Happy Halloween Everyone!

Welcome Back! I hope you enjoyed the beautiful fall weekend!  We had a great day at Croft on Friday participating in their Heritage Show Case. The students enjoyed the trip and learned  from the different sessions we attended. We would like to say Thank You to Croft School for hosting us for the day.                               International Project  We had our first Video Conference  and the students were able to meet their pen pals and find out  some things about them. This week we will continue our weekly weather and class reports, our day each week for reporting is Tuesday.  Our friends in Texas were quite excited to receive our first letters in the mail and we are anxiously awaiting their October letter. We hope to plant our tulips on Monday or Tuesday.    Fast ForWord  We have started the Fast ForWord literacy based computer program. The students are enjoying it and will be going to the lab every day to work on it. This program helps with memory, attention, processing and sequencing skills.    School Book Fair  The Book Fair is taking place this week in the Library. Monday is a viewing day. Students will be able to purchase books Tuesday - Thursday from 9am - 3pm and on Wednesday from 6pm - 8pm. Our class day to purchase is on Tuesday. Make sure you stop buy and check out the great selection of books.      School Credit Union Day - Wednesday October 20th.        Have a great week!
