Hi Everyone,
It is hard to believe that we are into our third week of October. Just a reminder that Interim reports go home today.
Phys.Ed
We have Phys.Ed on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Library
Library day is on Wednesday. Remember to bring your book back.
School Clothing Orders
Anyone wishing to place orders for school clothing can come to the school on Wednesday October 19th from 9:00am - 3:00pm.
Credit Union Day
Tuesday October 18th is the school Credit Union Day.
Book Orders
Scholastic Book Orders are due back on Thursday October 20th.
No School
Just a reminder that there is no school for students on Friday October 21st, as it is a Curriculum Day for teachers.

Fire Prevention Week
This week is Fire Prevention Week. We will be talking about fire safety. Make sure you check the batteries in your smoke detectors.
Project With Texas
We have started work on our project with our friends in Texas. Together we gathered ideas and discussed what we should put in our class introduction letter. On Friday we planted our tulips with the grade 3 classes. We will post some pictures later in the week. Starting Tuesday the students will write individual letters to their pen pals. On Friday we will begin our weekly weather and class reports.

It is October already! Today was a chilly day. Please make sure that you are dressing for the weather.

Fast ForWord
We finished one week of the program and the students are doing a great job. They are trying to beat their scores each day. Keep up the good work Grade 2.
International Project
We are going to start our project with our friends in Texas. This month we will exchange class letters of introduction, send our first letters to our pen pals, start our live weekly weather reports, have our first video conference and share our Canadian Thanksgiving celebrations. The students are looking forward to starting work on the project.
Homework
The homework for the week is listed in the red homework folder. Just a reminder to record the book they read each night on the log sheet. Please return the homework book, orange folder and agenda each day.
