Good Monday morning everyone!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend and that you enjoyed the beautiful sunshine!  I sure did!  

I hope that you are able to try some of the learning activities I am providing for this week and that you take the time to get outside and get activie everyday.

The ASD-N Virtual Olympics start this week so be sure to register and have some fun with that!  Go Raiders (and families!)  

I am also attaching the STEM North STEAM activities for this week...It looks like a lot of fun!

Happy Tuesday everyone!  I hope you had a wonderful long weekend with your family!  I was so happy to be able to chat with some of you on a messenger call last Friday!  If you weren't able to join us last week, I hope you will message me and we will include you in the call this week!  We had a great Show and Tell!

I am attaching some ideas for Literacy and Math, as well as the STEAM activities from the ASD-N Stem North team. Hello everyone and welcome to another week of Home Learning!  I hope you had a great week and that you were able to try some of the learning activities provided here and on our Facebook page.  I have heard from many of you and I love seeing pictures of what you are up to at home!  

The most important activitity you can do is READ everyday!  And... get outside for fresh air and exercise!  The weather looks pretty good for this week so I hope you find time everyday to be activie outside!  Maybe I will see some of you as I ride my bike or go for my daily walk!

Don't forget to tune in to our Facebook page for the last 2 chapters of Night of the Ninjas by Mary Pope Osborne!  We will probably start the next book in the series this week also!

I have attached some Language Arts ideas as well as some Math ideas and a worksheet.

Finally, check out the attached STEAM ideas from our ASD-N team.  There are some really great activities on that document!

Well it is hard to believe but another week has passed and now we are into the month of MAY!  I hope you had a fun weekend and that you were able to spend some active time outside.

Reminder:  Parents/Guardians are asked to pick up students' belongings at the school this week.  The time for Elementary parents is Monday from 1:00 - 3:00.  All items have been bagged and are in the gym according to level. Please enter the school through the front doors and proceed to the gym, exiting through the back door of the school. 

Please find attached some literacy ideas for this week, as well as some great ideas from our STEAM coordinators.

I have also added a link to a lesson on PERIMETER and a practice sheet.  Just do what you can and don't hesitate to contact me if you have questions.

Hello everyone!  I hope you had a great weekend!  It sure feels nice to get outside and see so many signs of Spring!  I am excited that so many of you have checked out our Facebook group and I just love seeing the pictures you have posted!  I miss you all so much! I'm sure you know Earth Day is this week so a lot of the sctivities I am suggesting have an Earth Day theme.  We live on a beautiful planet and it's up to us to take care of it!

Hi everyone! Here are some suggestions for home learning you can do at home. 

Do as much as you can, and try to have some fun with the activities.

Read

20 minutes daily- choose from picture books, comics, recipes, graphic novels, flyers, chapter books...

Writing/Word Work

Unscramble the following Easter words:

1. ingrsp      6. skbtae

2. stpilu       7. eelljnsyba

3. ggse yded  8. ymifal

4. ccetoolha   9. thingnu

5. ieadcsn     10. eeottrhg

Challenge #1- learn to spell the Easter words.

Challenge #2- Make an Easter card for someone. Use some of the Easter words above and include a kind message, riddle, poem...be creative, be silly...

Math

This week it's all about dice!!

Games- Race to 100- 2 or more players- each player has their own paper/pencil. Roll 2 dice and add the total. Record. Take turns. Continue adding total to prevoius total until a player hits 100, and becomes the winner.

Challenge #1- change the winning number to 200, 500, you decide.

Challenge#2- multiply the numbers you roll. Then add on next roll. Keep going until you hit winning number.

Challenge #3- Use 3 dice. Add, and continue adding until you hit winning number.

Board Games using dice are great too! Snakes n' Ladders, Trouble, Yahtzee, Monopoly....

Science

Today is the 17th. day of spring! :)

Divide a piece of paper into 6 equal pieces, and label...HEAR, SEE, SMELL, TOUCH, TASTE and COOL STUFF. Take your paper and a pencil and go outside. Play. Laugh. Enjoy nature. Go for a walk with an adult in your house. Using all of your senses, fill up your sheet.

Friday will be pajama/comfy Day

We are having lots of fun with the Halloween Scavenger Hunt too!
