Hi families,

IMPORTANT: New home learning packs for next week can be picked up from the school Friday afternoon between 12:30-3:30. No need to return anything at this time. Please keep everything together and return when we are back to school for in-person learning. I will not be sending home more leveled books. Please keep rereading the ones you have at home or spend extra time on Boukili.

Here is a recap of today’s lessons:

Reading – 30 minutes. Your child may read on Boukili* (class code = 80l3f9 eight zero el three ef nine), and/or choose a new hardcopy leveled book. Please as your child to re-read the same book from yesterday and complete the “Je raconte et dessine” worksheet. Have your child write about what happened in the beginning (au début), middle (au milieu), and end (a la fin), and draw pictures to go with their writing.

Writing – 15 minutes. Please ask your child to complete writing sheet “en automne”. I’d like them to write first, then draw a picture. Challenge your child to write as many sentences as they can using as several words/prompts from the worksheet.

Sound Work – 15 minutes. Listen to the sound song Alain Singe (click on link or search Alain Singe Chanson). Read and respond to the “Martin le lapin” worksheet.

Math – 30 minutes. Please ask your child to login to Zorbits* and play for 15-20 minutes, plus complete the math worksheet in today’s packet.

Phys. Ed – 30 minutes. Please see Mrs. Dickson’s Teacher Page  for great Phys. Ed lessons.

*If your child does not have access to technology, please just do an extra math worksheet and encourage your child to read their hardcopy book several times.

Hi families,

Since our sound of the week is "ch", I thought this activity might be a fun add-on. This is an extra assignment and not mandatory. Have your child watch and listen to the story "Le Chandail de Hockey" (click on link in slide two). Then, ask your child to design their own hockey jersey. Tell them to use their imagination and be creative. Their hockey jersey should reflect their personality and tell something about themselves. As always, I'd love to see photos or their work. And be sure to keep their finished work all together and return to school when we are back.

"This recording is of a rehearsal in the music room for this year's Christmas show. We were missing one of our soloists on this day so we decided to save the song for next year's concert. Here's to hoping we can join together for a live Christmas concert next year."
