Hospital Tour-On Wednesday November 27th our class will be going to the Hospital for a Kindergarten tour. Please read, sign and return the permossion slip by Wednesday. Thanks!
On Wednesday November 27th, Ice Cream will be sold during the lunch hour for $1.00.
Phys. Ed. Class- Monday, Thursday and Friday are the days we have gym. Dress in comfy clothes and wear your sneakers.

Report Cards- Our report cards go home on Tuesday November 19th. Please keep the report and send the envelop back to school with your child.
Library- We have library on Wednesday. Please remember to return your book so you can sign out a new book.
Colombian Day- We are celebrating our Colombian students here at Nelson Rural School on Thursday November 21st. Remember to wear the colours,yellow, blue and red (colours of the Colombian flag) today to help celebrate our new friends.
Skating- On Thursday November 21st we will be going to the Civic Center for our first day of skating. We will leave the school at 9:15 am. Our ice time is 9:40-10:25 am. We strongly suggest that every Kindergarten child have a parent or supervisor on the ice with them, especially if this is your child's first time on skates. All students must have a CSA approved helmet and gloves or mittens, splash pants or snow pants would also be great to wear. Thanks for your support and see you at the rink.
Parent\Teacher Interviews will be held on Thursday November 21st 4:00-6:00pm. and
Friday November 22nd 9:00-11:30am. Hope to see you there. If you are unable to attend and would like an interview please contact me at school (627-4074) and I will be happy to schedule a time for you.

Rememberance Day- In honour of our Veterans and in memory of our brave Canadian soldiers, who lost their lives so we can live in our amazing country. We remember and give thanks.

K-2 Literacy Night- This Thursday November 7th, from 6:30-7:30 pm., the K-2 teacher's will be hosting a Literacy evening in the school library. We will share with some of the different components and techniques we use during our daily Literacy Block. Hope to see you there!
School Rememberance Day Service - Our school Rememberance Day service will be held on
Friday November 8th at 10:00am in the school gym. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Rememberance Day- On Monday November 11th there will be no school in honour of Rememberance Day. Please take the time with your children on this very important day to remember those who fought and sacrificed so much that we could live in our wonderful country, Canada.
A big Thank You, to those who sent in a food bank donation of Kraft Dinner for the our School District, Christmas Food Drive. Any donation is greatly appreciated.
Cooler Weather- The cooler weather is now here. We encourage the children to wear warmer clothing, jackets, gloves, mittens and hats so they will be well prepared and warm when go outside to play.

Phys. Ed. Classes- Our Phys.Ed classes are on Monday's, Thursday's and Fridya's. Please wear comfortable clothing and footwear.
Library- We have library every Wednesday. Remember to bring back your book so you can get a new one.
Happy Halloween everyone. To celerate the day please wear orange and black on Thursday, October 31st.
The Halloween Special is the only meal being served at the cafeteria. You can still buy milk and juice.
Be safe and have fun trick- or- treating tonigt.
Elephants- We have been learning lots of interesting facts about elephants. Be sure to ask your child to share the neat information they have learned like, an elephants trunk is over 2 metres long. WOW!
