We have skating at the Civic Center Tuesday Feb.12th from 10:00-10:40am. We have be asked to remind everyone of the City regulations for public skating that were sent home, especially, no one is permitted on the ice with boots, no food or drink on the ice. Thank you for your support. We will see you at the rink!!!

Happy February, everyone! For a short month, it will be a very busy one. Some events this month are: Spell-a-thon, Groundhog Day, Skating, Valentine's Day, Flag Day, Family Day, 100th Day, Pink Shirt Day. We have a lot to celebrate, so please keep checking agendas for information on these events.
Our School Spell-a-Thon fundraiser has begun. Students took home an information pack on Thursday Jan.31st. Students can collect pledges from their family and have a list of ten spelling words to study.There will be a written spelling test on February 15th. We will be doing many activities with these words in class and it is important for the children to study their words each night.
Read your borrow-a-book each night and remeber to sign your reading log whenever you read.Return your books on Thursday.
Library- every Tuesday we go to the library.You must return your book in order to sign out a new one.
Gym- We have gym classes, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Please wear comfy clothes to run and play in.
Show and Tell- Tuesday- Albion, Alexcia,Carter, Dominic
-Wednesday- Brielle, Harlan, Reid, Violet
-Thursday- Dax, Matthew, Owen, Renèe
Students should practice the night before they are to do their Show and Tell, by choosing their item and telling their family all about it. The more they know about the item the more comfortable they will be talking in front of their peers.
Looking forward to a fun week in Kindergarten. Remember to bundle up warm, in the mornings. It has been very chilly outside. Hopefully it will warm up this week so we can go out and play in all that snow.

Our annual school Spell-A-Thon fundraiser kicks off today. Please wear the school colours, burgundy and gold. Information kits will go home to day. Please read through the information and keep the calendar on the fridge as there are many important dates marked. This is our major school fundraiser and your support is greatly appreciated.
