Sight words- some students are bringing home sight word sheets. Please review these words with your child and once they can identify them quickly, without hesitation, sign the sheet and return to class for the next word list.

Skating-In December, we will be going skating at the Civic Center. If your child does not have skates please come and check at school, we may have a pair of skates to fit them. We will be skating 3-4 times throughout the winter. We invited parents\guardians, family members to come and skate with your child. Please keep in mind, according to city rules, all students must wear skates and a CSA approved helmet on the ice. Adults must also wear skates when on the ice, no boots are allowed. Also, no food or drinks are allowed on the ice. Dates and times for our skating event will be on the December newsletter.

Giving Tree- Our class and school, are getting into the Christmas spirit by participating in the Giving Tree project. We are very excited to make a Christmas wish come true for two of our local seniors from Losier Hall. As a part of our You & Your World Unit, showing kindness to others, I ask that the children bring in $1-2 dollars to help purchase the gifts. I would love for the children to earn their money at home, either by doing a chore or and act of kindess for a family member. Please send a little note for your child to share with the class, what they did to earn the money. Thanks so much for your support in this special Christmas project!!

Have a wonderful week at school. Smile and be Kind to each other!!
