7H, 7M, 8H, 8M Language Arts 1. Read at least 15-20 MINS. PER NIGHT 2. No assigned work for this evening   7M Social Studies 1. Project assigned today (see p. 9 Q.2 -"Future Self-Portrait") Refer to the rubric in your notebook!     Project is presented visually using Power Point or Smart Notebook program.     Students who do not have computer access at home must make arrangements to use school computers (noon?). 2. Notebook check this week..have notebooks ready! Look over rubric.   8H-8M Social Studies 1. Always .. go over your notes and last days work the night before a class! 2. Study and be prepared to answer or ask questions!

7H Language Arts 1. Read 15 mins. per night for Accelerated Reader 2. Don't forget HEADPHONES for Monday(-Fast Forward-)   7H, 7M, 8H, 8M Language Arts 1. All classes have a revised draft due Monday (see writing assignment from Thursday's class) 2. All 2nd drafts should have changes to word choice and sentence fluency! 3. 1st drafts should show evidence of "work"  (highlighting etc,,)

(8M) Quiz on the Cabinet and Govenor-General (sheets) 8H-Study for Friday!   7H-7M Language Arts 1. (7H) Read "Zlata's Diary" p. 7-9 (textbook) assignment will begin in class tomorrow.     (7M) Work for "Zlata's Diary" must already be completed in daily notebook and      also, the work for poem "Local Hero"p. 12  (refer to the assignment sheet given in class today).   7M Social Studies 1. Have summary of "Empowerment Puzzle" completed (see sheet in notebook)

BOOK FAIR!!! Wednesday 6-8 p.m. Come in and find some excellent reading material for Accelerated Reader!   8H-8M Language Arts 1. The found poem "Season of Beautiful Death" (writing notebook) must be revised and ready to publish in the computer lab (a scheduled class). 2. Students should be reading at least 15-20 min per nigh!!   8H-8M Social Studies 1. Students must review and study the notes on the Govenor-General and Cabinet for a quiz next class. 2. (8H) The assignment sheet (p.135 "Janet Connors") is NOT homework.   7H-7M Language Arts 1. Students have not had homework this week due to Provincial Testing (Completed for most students today) 2. Students should be reading at least 15-20 min per night!   7M Social Studies .1.Students should have completed the "summary" of the "Empowerment Puzzle" p.10-13 (follow the sheet to complete this task which was an in-class assignment.)

Novel notebooks being collected Friday, June 11th 2. News article -final copy due Thursday June 10th. 3. Novels collected Friday-have yours here!

Film (8M Thursday/8H Friday) last writing assignment will be connected to the film!   8H-8M Social Studies 1. Unit test (8H) Monday 2. Test (8M) Tuesday     7H-7M Language Arts 1. Assignments for novel work must be completed.     (refer to reminder sheet given in class-7M Wednesday (7H Thursday) 2. Title pages must be in color (see instructions that were given) 3. Pre-writing for the news article must be done. "Treasure Found"     Have an "outline" for the article (who? what? when? where? why? how?)
