This week is Secret Path Week. As part of our journey towards Truth and Reconciliation, each class will be engaged in learning about Indigenous history and culture, but more importantly, striving for change.

The Nelson Rural School Garden Club conitnues to grow!
This year, almost every class in our school did some form of growing inside, whether they used used Click and Grow smart gardens, built their own grow light towers and planted seedlings that were placed in window sills.
We wrap things that are important to us in red cloth; so here we symbolize 215 young souls wrapped in red. At Nelson Rural we acknowledge Canada’s wrong-doing and pledge to do better. We are honouring those children who did not return home from residential school.
