Nelson Rural School has been recognized again as a Heart Healthy School! We have recently won a contest and are the winners of the Heart and Stroke Foundation's November contest and have won 10 soccer balls for our school! Big thanks to Mrs Dickson and the students who organized this contest for our school and took action for a healthier community of learners!

The grade 2s and 2Y classes from Nelson Rural School were recently named as Top Ten Finalists in the CBC Music Competition with their rendition of a song by Ginalina-"Small But Mighty". Results were released on CBC radio on December 15
