On Friday February 5th, we did another 30 minutes of extra physical activity. We counted in different ways to go up and down the soccer field. Then we had some races and played games!!

On January 26th, we planted Basil in our Smart Garden. The pictures show the steps we did to plant! Now we are waiting for it to grow!

We are participating in the Winter Active Challenge. Each class has to try and get 30 minutes of extra physical activity for 5 days. We had fun playing in the snow on Thursday!

Hi Everyone!
I hope you had a fun weekend! It is hard to believe but we are starting the month of February!
Phys. Ed - Our Phys. Ed days this week are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Library - Our library day is on Tuesday. Make sure you bring your book back, so you can sign out another one.
Homework/Reading - The homework for the week is listed in the orange folders. Our spelling words this week focus on the long /i/ bossy /e/ vowel sound. One of the word work activities focuses on this as well and we continue to work on blends. We are working on writing sentence that have details and voice, and begin and end the right way. In Math we are learning about money: the names of the coins and the value. This week we are counting different coins together. We are also learning about the calendar, days of the week, months of the year and using the calendar to problem solve. Make sure you read your book each night and record it on the log sheet. Use the strategies we have been working on to help with your reading.
Valentine's Lunch Pre-Order - If you would like the Valentine's Day lunch, pre-orders need to be in on Feb. 5th. The cost is $7.00.
School Clothing Orders - If you would like to order school clothing you can click on the link below and place your order on line. Orders are due on February 12th. The orders will be delivered to the school.

Flag Day - We will be celebrating Flag Day on February 12th - Students and staff are asked to wear red and white or Canada clothing on this day.
