Bon lundi toute le monde!!

 Just a few reminders for the week!

  1. Homework sheet is sent home every Monday with students
  2. Tuesdays are library days, please return your library books so that you can check out new books.
  3. Tomorrow we are going skating with our buddies as well!
  4. Wednesday: Spell-a-thon pledge sheets are due back
  5. Thursday: Valentine's day
  6. Friday: Students will be having their Spell-a-thon tests this day. Reminder to continue studying your 20 words this week to be prepared!
  7. Friday: It is also flag day!! Students are asked to wear their red and white for flag day!

Just a reminder that our class has buddy skating tomorrow with their grade 5 buddies in Mme MacDonald's class!

It will be from 9:20-10:00.

Reminder to parents or guardians, to please wear skates if you plan on being on the ice with your child.

Happy 2019!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas break! Regular homework will begin this week, as last week was a short week.

The Homework sheet is in their yellow home folders.

If you have any questions, feel free to leave a message in their agenda.

A couple reminders that on Tuesday we have Library. Students will be able to check out 2 books as long as they bring back their books each week.

Friday: Spelling quiz for sight words to help reinforce their vocabulary.

Also, because of the very cold temperatures, students have been staying indoor quite frequently, however please continue to send them with their winter clothing in cases that they are outside playing.

Happy Holidays everyone!

Just a reminder to students that there is only reading assigned for homework this week. Please make sure to read your two books each night this week and log it on your log sheets.

Also: it is Spirit week at Nelson! Here are the following spirit days to earn points for our class!

Spirit Week - There is a theme for each day and minute to win it challenges on Friday for Spirit Week!

               - Tuesday - Christmas Hat and Red & Green Day

               - Wednesday - Christmas Concert 9:00AM - Dress Up Day

               - Thursday -  Christmas Sweater Day

               - Friday - Favourite Team Jersey or School Clothing Day

I want to wish everyone a well deserved Christmas Break! We had a wonderful fall season and the students worked very hard in 2018! I can not wait to see everyone return in 2019!

Danser autour du vert sapin

Our class will be doing a little song\musical this week as a class to celebrate the holidays.

Students are asked to practice this song at home and we will be singing it on Thursday.

Here are a few weekly reminders:


  • Homework sheet is in the yellow homework folder for the week.


  • Our annual Christmas Shop will be on Tuesday, December 11th. Students can shop for family members. Items will be $1-$2. If you have items or gift bags to donate, please drop them off at the school.


  • Our Christmas Dinner will be this Wednesday December 12th.This is the only meal served on this day. Students will need to bring their lunch if they did not pre-order the Christmas dinner.


  • Thank you to everyone who made donations to The Giving Tree project. Our school was able to pack gifts for 63 Seniors.


  • Our Christmas Concert is on Wednesday December 19th.


  • Our last day of classes before the Christmas Break is on Friday December 21st. This is a full day and dismissal will remain at 2pm for our k-2 students.

  • Check out our morning announcements on the School website to see Charleigh and Kylie updating you in Primary corner on the fun things happening in our classes!
