Making 10
We have been working on addition and subtraction in class. We also have been working on making 10.
The following link is a great activity on making 10 students can play at home. This is a great way to strengthen their mental math skills!

Our class has been participating in a district reading challenge, and on Monday their challenge is to read in Pyjamas with their favorite stuffy!
Students are asked to wear their pyjamas and bring a stuffy that fits in their book bag.

The Spell-a-thon kickoff assembly was today, and all students received a packet with their spelling words. Students are to practice these words as we are going to try to have all Top Spellers this year!

Just a reminder that the grade 1 Hitchman and Ms. Moar's class will be going skating on February 4th and will skate from 9:25-10:00.
