7 O-D Literacy

I will be out of the classroom on Friday so as a result we are making slight adjustments to our week. Tomorrow, Thursday the 19th, will be Art Journaling Day for this week. Students will be expected to complete a piece of writing in class. They will be given the following prompt -

Chose one of the images you’ve created in your art journal and write an essay explaining what it depicts. The journaling prompts are provided to help pull your thoughts together and focus in on an idea. Use the writing rubric as a guide to help plan and revise your piece of writing.

Homework 7D

Students will expected to pass in their reading logs with 7 good entries completed. Expectations are outlined on the 'Reading Log' powerpoint. This powerpoint is a working document that we add to in class so it will be updated on this site from time to time. You can find the powerpoint in the document section.

Art Journal

The prompt for Friday, October 14th is- Whether we are cat people, dog people, fish people, or "animals should not live in my house" people, all of us have had interactions with animals. Create a page about one of these animals or experiences - it can be anything from a beloved household pet to the story of a rabbit that won't leave your garden alone.

Students are expected to make 3 entries in their reading log per week. These entries are to be in paragraph form. Please see the Reading Log Expectations document, reading_log_nrs.pptx, for further info. This is a working document and I will update it periodically.
