Grade 7 Reminders

Hello Grade 7. Here is your homework.

Homeroom Business: Cookie Dough Fundraiser for Parents. Dough is $12.00 per bucket. Proceeds go to activities for the children of Nelson Rural School.

Math- Finish math sheet.

L. Arts- Read for 20 minutes. 5 reading logs are due for Friday.

Social Studies- The same title page is due for next class. Most of you should have this completed by now. You also need to get your assignment "My Life in 20 Years" signed by a parent/guardian.

Grade 7 Reminders

Hello Grade 7: Here is your homework for the weekend:

Homeroom Business: Cookie Dough fundraiser for the Home and School- $12.00 per bucket of raw cookie dough. Students are not to sell door to door. This is a fundraiser for parents.

NO CAFETERIA ON MONDAY- If you did not buy the Halloween special you need to bring a bag lunch. The microwaves will still be available.

MONDAY IS BLACK AND ORANGE DAY- If you have any combination of these Halloween colors you are asked to wear them to show your Halloween Spirit on Monday.

HOMEWORK

L.Arts- Read for 20 minutes. You have 3 logs due on Monday making your total of 13 reading logs to date.

S.Studies- You are asked to finish any assignments to date. Check back on teacher page for past assignments.

Science- You have a test next Thursday or Friday.

French- No homework. Madame Foran will be visiting with us again on Monday morning.

Homeroom Business: Cookie Dough  $12.00 per bucket. Students are not to sell door to door. The fundraiser is for parents.

Science- You have a test next Thursday or possibly on Friday. Be prepared either way.

Math- pp. 62-64  Questions  1   2   4   5   6   7   8   and 9

L. Arts-  Read for 20 minutes. You have 3 more reading logs due. You should have 13 reading logs completed in total once you complete these 3.

French-  Keep looking for info on the phenomène étrange. We will get to it soon.

Grade 7 Reminders

Hello Grade 7. Here is your homework for tonight:

Homeroom Business:  Halloween Dance tonight 6:30pm-8:30pm.  Admission is $5.00. You are asked to bring along a non-perishable food item as a donation to the food bank. Costumes are optional. If you choose to wear a costume, make sure we can see your beautiful face upon request.

Cookie Dough: Reminder that this is a fundraiser for the Nelson Rural Home and School Association. Proceeds go towards various activities for the students of Nelson Rural School. Cost of dough is $12.00 per bucket. Students are not permitted to sell door to door. This is a fundraiser for parents.

L.Arts- Read for 20 minutes

Social Studies- Title Page due tomorrow. This should already be done gaded seven. We had this same homework for 3 days now.

French- Make sure you have a phenonème étrange selected for your next project.

Grade 7 Reminders

Hello Grade 7. Here is your homework for tonight:

Homeroom Business: Halloween Dance tomorrow evening 6:30pm -8:30pm. Admission is $5.00. You are asked to bring an item (non-perishable) to donate for the food bank. You may wear a costume however you have to be able to show your face at the door.

The Nelson Rural Home and School is launching their cookie dough campaign for the month of November. Order forms went home today with your child. The cost of the cookie dough tub is $12.00. The cookies are delicious and so convenient to have in your freezer for the holidays. Please remember this is a fundraiser for parents. Children are not permitted to sell door to door. 

Homework:

L. Arts- Read for 20 minutes. Check Mrs. Murphy's page for further information.

Math- Bring your math test signed by a parent/guardian.

Health- Bring your health test signed by a parent/guardian

Social Studies- Finish your title page. Question sheet is also due for next class. Answers on pp. 30-33

Grade 7 Reminders

Hello Grade 7. Here is your homework for this evening:

L. Arts- Read. You were supposed to have passed in 3 reading logs today. As of homeroom time at 12:50pm we did not know what you would have for this evening's homework. Check Mrs. Murphy's teacher page.

Math- pages 58-59 Questions 2-6 and questions 8 and 9. You need to get the math test signed by a parent\guardian.

Social Studies- Finish the Title Page. Also complete the Question Sheet. Answers are found on pages 30-33

                        You also need to get your S.S test signed by a parent\guardian.

Hello Grade 7. Here is your homework for the weekend.

Language Arts-  Read for 20 minutes. You have 3 reading logs due on Monday. 

French- Prepare to tell us about your phenomena. Again check back a few messages on my blog. Tuesday or Wednesday I explained this in full.

Grade 7 Reminders

Hello Grade 7. Here is your homework for this evening:

Homeroom Business: School Pictures went home today. Those of you who had retakes need to bring the proofs in soon.

Parents: Your child was given an important memo today. Please read and do a quick check for your own peace of mind.

L. Arts- Read for 20 minutes. You also have 3 reading logs due for Monday. I would get going on those tonight. Monday is not that far away!

Math- P 54 questions 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, and 7

French- Continue searching for stories on interesting phenomena. Again, check the homework from Tuesday evening which explains in further detail.  If it is raining tomorrow morning I will come to school early and take those that need to type monster stories to the computer lab to finish up this assignment.

Grade 7 Reminders

Hello Grade 7. Here is Your Homework for this evening:

L. Arts- Read for 20 minutes

Math- One of you thought we had p. 54  # 1-3. Most of you however think it was class work.

French- Same homework as last evening. Check my page from yesterday and be ready to discuss a phenomena.

Doesn't seem like you have much work this evening which means you can spend plenty of time researching phenomena for French class. Look forward to hearing some interesting stories. Have a good evening grade 7. We will see you tomorrow. Maria nos vemos manana.

Grade 7 Reminders

Hellos Grade 7. Here is your homework for this evening:

Homeroom Business: Those of you who received needles from Public Health did a great job. You are all very brave! Your arm should feel a little sore tonight but you will be just fine. So fine in fact that you should be able to get your homework done!! 

Physed- Bring your gym clothes for tomorrow please.

L. Arts- Read for 20 minutes

French- Do a little prep work researching phenomena (a fact or event that can be observed or studied but may be difficult to explain or prove) in one of the following categories:

Natural- ie. the Northern Lights

UFO ( an Unidentified Flying Object)  things people have seen in the sky-

Legend- Stories such as the headless nun- is it real or fiction?

I simply want you to know ahead of class a little info on one of these type of phenomena. Choose something that peaks your interest enough that you would like to do an oral presentation on the topic. If you do not have a computer at home maybe you could ask your parent\guardian or a grandparent if they know of something interesting. It can be something that happened in New Brunswick or anywhere in the world. Have fun with this. Maybe I will learn something new? Maybe Maria will have an interesting story from Columbia to share? Grade 7 Reminders

Hello Grade 7. Here is your homework for this evening:

Homeroom Business: The nurse from Public Health will be here tomorrow for needles. Make sure you wear a shirt with either a short sleeve or a loose sleeve that can be easily raised. 

L. Arts- Read for 20 minutes

Math- You have a test tomorrow on the applications of averages.

French- Make sure you arrive at class ready to show me the good copy of your monster story main body and conclusion. Again check my page on October 11th for criteria needed for the conclusion. Those of you that have the Go Boys activity will need to make sure you show me your cahier before you leave class to attend this activity. No show?----No Go!     Have a great evening everyone. Grade 7 Reminders

Hello Grade 7. Here is your homework for the weekend:

Homeroom Business:  Just one more form to be completed and returned to school for the needles. You know who you are.

Math- Math sheet due on Monday. Also you have a test on Tuesday on the Applications of Averages.

L. arts- Read for 20 minutes. Also check Mrs. Murphy's page. There is additional info for you.

French- Finish the draft copy of your conclusion. Check my teacher page for Oct. 11th. The criteria for a conclusion is there.

The Public Health nurse will be here on Tuesday, October 18th for your needles.

 Remember to respect my request for "Quiet Time" in our classroom. We all need to hear the announcements and we all need calm before the busy day begins. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Don't forget to watch the ball game tonight. Maria, buen viajo a Toronto. Nos vemos proxima semana!

Homeroom Business: We are waiting on 4 students to return their completed forms for needles.  You know who you are. Tomorrow we are asked to wear blue or clothing with a Toronto Bluejays logo to show support for the team who plays against the Cleveland Indians for the American League East series..

Math- Finish questions 1-4 on your math sheet

L. Arts- Read- Complete reading logs (7) entries are due. Check Mrs. Murphy's page to make sure.

French- Finish your good copy of the monster story.

Grade 7 Reminders

Hello Grade 7. Here is the homework for tonight:

Homeroom Business:  Complete and Return forms for Needles. The Nurse from Public Health will be picking these up tomorrow. Please sit down this evening and complete forms.  Also, Friday you are asked to wear blue clothing or any Blue Jays clothing you have to show our support for our Canadian ball team. They play their first game of the ALCA against the Cleveland Indians on Friday evening.

School Picture Retakes are tomorrow, Thursday October 13th

Math- Pages 274-5 Questions 5- 8

L. arts- Read for 20 minutes.  3 Reading log entries are due this week

Grade 7 Reminders

Hello Grade 7. Here is your homework for tonight:

Homeroom Business- Complete and return forms for needles. There are two forms to fill out for girls as they will receive 2 needles. Parents of the boys have one form to complete. These need to be returned to me by Thursday so why not make your parent\guardian a cup of tea and sit down to complete forms tonight!

Math- Pages 273-274    Questions 1, 2 and 4

L.Arts- Read for 20 minutes. This week you need to have 3 entries in your reading log.  Also finish the draft copy of your essay

le français- Write a conclusion to your monster story. The recette (recipe) for a conclusion is as follow:  An exit phrase such as Voici l'histoire de Shrek  or Maintenant tu sais l'histoire de Godzilla.   Next you need to write an opinion of your monster such as   Il est effrayant  or il est mignon  or il est bizarre or il est vraiment méchant/gentil and finally you need to ask a question to the reader such as    Est-ce que tu aimes ce monstre?  or Est-ce que tu connais un monstre bizarre?  or Est-ce que tu penses que ce monstre est méchant? or  Est-ce que tu penses qu'il est beau/gentil?  etc.   These are my ideas . I am sure you can come up with one that relates to your monster. Lots of homework tonight. I suggest you make like an egg and get crackin!
