Yearbook 2020

There will be a yearbook this year, but they will not be distributed until September. The organizers of the yearbook are asking families to take a family photo or student photos from home and upload it to the link provided. You could wear school clothing, or hold up signs with notes on them.

If you would like a yearbook, you can send me an e-mail to let me know, or let me know during our weekly check in. They will be available in September and you will pay for them at the time they come in. I know that some of you had alreay placed your order before school stopped.

Here is another strategy sheet to help when working on math at home. When adding and subtracting 2 digit numbers, we use the strategy that works best for us. We have worked on using rods and units, making new numbers or showing the steps you used.

Good Morning Everyone!!

I hope you had a great weekend, and that all moms and grandmothers enjoyed their special day, even with all that snow!!

We are heading into Week 6 of our home learning and I hope that you find some activities this week that you would like to try out. I know a lot of you have told me you have been getting out to do some fishing, so I have a fishing theme for our activities this week.

Something new I am going to start adding are reading comprehension stories. There will be a story to read and then questions to do about the story. There is also a document added on Reading Comprehnsion Strategy Tips to help out. Give it a try and see how you do.

I have also added a writing template or sheet for the writing activity, I know that a lot of you have said you find that helpful. There is also math problem solving activity for some extra practice. This time it is for subtraction.

If you need any help or support or if I can help in any way, please send me an e-mail.

Don't forget to check out Mrs. Dickson and Mrs. O'Neill-Dellano's pages for some Phys. Ed and Music activities.

I love seeing your pictures and the work you are doing with your activities and it is great to talk with you each week!

Have an awesome week! Missing everyone a lot!!

This week I have addded a reading comprehension story as one of the home learning activities. To help with this activity I am adding some reading comprehension strategy tips you can use to help at home. It is important that we understand what we read and we are able to tell about the story and answer questions. I hope this helps.
