Hi Everyone,
I hope you enjoyed your weekend. We had some very cold days and are supposed to have more during the week. Please make sure that you are dressed for the weather.
Phys.Ed
Our Phys.Ed days are Monday and Wednesday.
Library
Our library day is on Wednesday. Make sure you bring your book.
Credit Union
School Credit Union Day is on Tuesday January 22nd.
Math
We have started our unit on addition and subtraction to 18. Please make sure that you are working on your facts and strategies each night. This will help with building your mental math skills.
Project With Texas
We were unable to connect with our friends again this week. We are hoping for next week. We did notice that they had snow there a couple a days when we checked the weather. On Monday, we were warmer than them! They planted their tulips on January 4th. Our garden is covered in snow.
Borrow-A-Book
Please make sure that you are reading each night and recording your book on the log sheet.

We are starting a new unit on Addition and Subtraction to 18. Today the students brought home a fact sheet and a list of strategies we will be using to help students add quickly. Please keep these at home and go over them.
Skating
We have skating on Thursday January 17th. Our ice time is from 9:00 - 9:40am. Students need their skates and a helmet. Please join us if you are able.
Class Project With Texas
We were unable to connect with our friends in Texas last week. We are hoping for a connection this week. The students were very excited to receive our parcel in the mail from Texas. It was a nice surprise to come back to.
