WOW, May is ending and we are heading into June, can you believe it? What a lovely weekend, I hope you were able to enjoy the lovely weather with the your family. This week in Kindergarten;
Literacy- Please read your Borrow-A-Books each night. We have 3 books this week.One book is a student reader, At the Vet. This book focuses on the "et" family. As they read this book see if your child can generate one or two words that rhyme with the "et" family.Read one or two of your books each night. As you read, quickly say the sight words you know and try to stretch out unknown words by saying all the letter sounds you hear. Look at the picture for cues. Retell the story when you are done. Tell someone what your favourite part of the story was ana why.Remember to fill in the reading log each night and print your name neatley.Please, return all books in the borrow-a-book bag on Friday.Thanks!
Rock Star Words- The children having been recognizing more and more sight words daily,which is awesome. Practice your words throughout the week. When your child knows all words quickly, please sign (parent signature) the sheet and return it to class and I will test your child to see if they are ready for the next list. The children must consistently know the words each time I test them. Thanks!
Jump Rope For Heart-All pledge money is due on Monday. May 29th. Please bring this in ASAP. Our Jump Rope Day is Friday June, 2nd.
Litter Less Lunch- The Grade 5 class is organizing a Littterless lunch for the school on Wednesday May, 31st. Thanks for your support.
Phys. Ed. Classes - We have gym class on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday this week. With the nicer weather we will be heading outside for gym class with Mrs. Dickson, so please come prepared.
Library- We visit the library on Thursday, please return your book so that you can sign out a new book.
Book Donations- Mrs. Donovan's grade 4\5 class are doing a book drive, any gently used books would appreciated. Please send in books by Friday, June,2nd. Thanks for your help.
K-2 Spring Musical- Mrs. O'Neill Delano and the students have been busy preparing a musical that will take place on Tuesday, June 6th at 9:00AM in the Gym. All are welcome!
Water bottles- Don't forget to pack your water bottles and bring it to class each today.

Happy Victoria Day everyone. I hope you were able to get out and enjoy the lovely weather on the weekend. This is what is happening in Kindergarten during this four day week.

Math- Make 9 Scavenger Hunt- This is a fun way to make combinations of 9 at home. The sheet will go home on Tuesday, see if you can find all of the numbered items on your sheet. Group 2 sets of items together to make 9.ex. 1 umbrella and 8 shoes. How many groups of nine did you make?Return your sheet on Friday. I have added a copy of the sheet below.Thanks and have fun!
