Hi everyone!

Borrow-A-Book- students are taking home a new book tonight and are to keep it for two nights. Read your book each night and be sure to sign your reading log for each night you read. Practice pointing to each word and remember when you get to the period you stop reading. Have fun reading and sharing your story with your family.

We have been reviewing the Zoophonics letter\sound and actions in class. Please practice with the zoophonics chart at home this week. This is great practice for your child especially, if they do not know all of the letters of the alphabet.

Credit Union- The Credit Union will be at school tomorrow, Tuesday September 19th. If you want your child to participate, please fill out the form that was sent home. Your child must print their name and a parent must also sign the form. If you have any questions, please contact Natalie Savoie at Beaubear Credit Union 622-4532.

Library- we will be making our first visit to our school library this Tuesday. Students will choose a book that they would like to have read to them. They can keep the book for the week and must return it the following Tuesday in order to sign out a new book.

Meet the Teacher- Thursday, September 21st at 5:00pm in the school cafeteria. There will be an information session and then our Home and School committee will be hosting a BBQ and jumping castle. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

We were very excited to meet Fred Fox, Terry Foxes older brother. He told us some great stories about Terry. Fred shared that Terry was just an ordinary guy who wanted to make a difference and help other's. Terry was determined and always tried his best. He truly was a great Canadian! We are grateful to Fred and his family for working so hard to keep Terry's legacy and dream, The Marthon of Hope, alive.

We have been learning the rules and their importance at school, on the playground and bus to ensure everyone will have fun and be safe as they work and play at school. It would be appreciated if parents would review the rules and how important it is for everyone to follow them, with your child at home. Thanks for your support!

School pictures- If you wish to order your child's picture the due date is Wednesday September 20th. If you would like retakes please send the picture form back indicating retakes. The date for retakes will be announced.

The children were so excited to see their Grandparents on Friday at our tea. They did a fantastic job with their song and poem. I am very proud of all of them. I truly enjoyed meeting all of your Grandpaents and would like to thank them for the love and support they give to their Grandchildren.

I am really enjoying getting to know your children. They make me smile everyday!

Have a great week, everyone! Smile and have fun!
