Welcome Back

Please make sure homework is complete. Stay on top of your work so you don't fall behind. Try to think of a monster to discuss in French class. Think of animated movies you have watched since you were young. I am sure movies like Ice Age or Monsters Inc. may have a few characters. See you tomorrow. Maria nos venemos manana.

Math homework was not completed by all students last night. It is your responsibility to arrive at school each day with homework assignments ready for correction. We can do a better job at this grade 7. Again, you need to hustle after lunchtime recess and write homework in your agenda. I look forward to seeing this happen tomorrow. Maria, estamos tan feliz que esta en nuestra clase. Nos venemos manana.

All permission slips and student data forms have been received. Way to go grade 7!!  A friendly reminder that the next thing on our agenda to collect are student fees. Check out the school memo that has all of this information. I believe middle school is $30.00 however the family rate is $40.00. See you tomorrow. Maria, espero que tenga una buena tarde. Nos veremos manana.

Just 2 more student data forms to pass in tomorrow (you know who you are). Everyone is doing a great job getting into homeroom on time in the morning but need to hustle after outdoor noon recess. Cheyenne is putting homework on the board and you need to copy this down so I can sign agendas. Remember I have little ones waiting anxiously downstairs for music class. Great job with your french raps today. Especialmente Maria. Paracias un artista de rap profesional!!

Just a few students need to return to me signed forms for bus travel, media coverage and the very important Student Data Sheet. We need this information in case of emergency. Two days of school are in the history books. What a nice group of students to have for homeroom. Everyone is looking out for each other and welcoming our 3 new students, Great job grade 7.

Here's to hoping Gr. 7 O'Neill Delano has an amazing year. Ingredients for a successful school year are as follows:

Get plenty of sleep

Eat good nutricious food and include physical exercise in your daily routine ( I am going to take my own advice on this one too!)  But remember, a plate of Nachos is a good thing!

Stay on top of homework and assignments. Don't leave it to the last minute.

Get involved in sports and extra-curricular activities.

Be kind to your classmates

Respect all staff in our building and behave on the bus.

Be good to your parents.

Have a great year and we will see your tomorrow!

Congratulations to all actors in "Pirates of the Curry Bean". The school show was spectacular!!  You should feel great satisfaction in knowing you set a goal back in November, made the commitment to be in drama for the long haul and gave 110% effort. I am beyond proud of each and every actor in our cast. A huge thank-you to Sarah Traer for once again coming to our rescue and playing not only her role of Dead Eye but also taking on the role of Ms. Wally.  As well, Paige and Cali took on the lines for the 3rd Lumbago girl and never missed a beat! Also thanks to Mr. Greg Keating for portraying the role of Squawk the Parrot. I think he just may have caught the acting bug!!!   We were so impressed with his ability to take on a role last minute. It goes without saying however, that we truely missed having William Haché on stage for our final performance.  To Will, the entire cast and crew would like to say  "Squawk........Get well  William!"   Finally, a huge thank-you from your director to "the  finest crew you've ever seen; the Pirates of the Curry  Bean!"  Now what will I do every Tuesday and Friday???!!!!!!!

ARRRRRR!  Me Hearties. Did you Enjoy the party???   Hope you all had a great time. Winners of the Trivia Race Game were the team of our "Pirate" Bryce Murphy and our "Sailor" Elizabeth Harris. Just one more performance to go and we can say good-bye to the Pirates of the Curry Bean!

Congratulations to all cast members and stage crew for your fine performance today at the ASD-N Elementary Drama Festival. You were all amazing. There were no weak links; I could hear every child on the stage. Songs were performed beautifully as well. Give yourselves a pat on the back for a job well done. No practice tomorrow (YAHOO!!). Please bring in any costumes as we still have to present our musical  for the k-2 students. We also need to decide when we would like to have a little party!!! Yes, that's right folks; I said a party!!!!  You certainly deserve it.
