We had beautiful weather for our Sports Day. Each student participated and cheered their class on. We had a fun filled day with many great events. At the end of the day we even had some cool treats to help us cool off. For our Year End Field Trip we went to Beaubear's Island and we had great weather again. The island had lots of pollen floating around that day but no bugs. Also we met many interesting people who lived on the island years ago. Later we took a walking tour of our historic community of Nelson and visited the Interpretative Center as well to learn more about what life was like in the past right here in our very own back yard.

These are some pictures of the tulip garden and the ice melting in the early Spring.  We sent them to our friends in Dallas Texas as well.  Stay tuned to see what our tulips look like now!! They are almost bloomed.

We wanted our friends in Dallas Texas to see what our winter in Canada looked like.  We took a picture of Beaubear's Island and our school to send to them.  Next we will visit our tulips and send them a picture of what our garden looks like.  They are very different.

Boy we sure had a lot of fun on the 100th Day of School.  It took us 100 days to reach this special day and we took a few days to learn about it as well. 100 can be big and 100 can be small.

Just before our Christmas Break we watched a movie called the Polar Express. It was a lovely day and we all wore our PJ's to school.

Our pen pals in Dallas, Texas sent us a picture of their class with their Red Emperor Tulips.  The weather in Texas is a lot warmer and it sure looks like Spring has sprung down there.  How did this happen as they only planted their flowers in January and we planted ours in the Fall?
