Math Homework Grades 7/8M & 8H June 1st/11

A note to all students and parents that a review for the upcoming District Assessment at grade 7 and Provincial Assessment at grade 8 has now begun.  Students are asked to come to class well rested and prepared.  Practice questions will be worked on during Math class for the remainder of this week.   Assessment dates:  June 6th, 7th, 8th.  Please make sure your child is present for these important dates! Attached are copies of sample questions that can be used by grade 7 and 8 students.

Math Homework Grades 7/8M & 8H May 26th!

Grade 7M:  Students are working on Cumulative Review Units 1-6 page 254-255.  Class time will be provided to finish all questions.  Assignment must be handed inat the end of class and is valued at 20%. Grade 8M:  Cumulative Review units 1-6 page 378-379 are due for Friday.  Class time will be provided to finish up any remaining questions.  All questions must be handed in at the end of class on Friday.  Value of the assignment is 20%.   Grade 8H:  Students are currently working on cumulative review questions pages 378-379.  Questions 1-9 are due for tomorrow.  Class time will be provided tomorrow to finish any remaining questions.  Value is 20%.

Math Homework Grade 8H May 25th/11

Grade 8H:  Students have now completed the test on Surface Area and Volume of Shapes.  They are now working on the Cumulative Review on pages 378-379.  All questions on the review are due for this Friday and will be marked as the final assignment.  Value is 20% of the final mark!!!   Review for the Provincial Assessment will begin and continue until June 6th.

Math Homework Grades 7/8M & 8H May 24th/11

Grade 7M:  Students are currently working on Unit 1-6 Cumulative Review pages 254-255.  Questions 1 to 11 are due this Thursday. Grade 8M:  Students are currently working on Unit 1-6 Cumulative Review pages 378-379.  Questions 1 to 11 are due this Thursday.   Grade 8H:  Students are currently working on Unit 1-6 Cumulative Review pages 378-379.  Questions 1 to 11 are due this Thursday   Note:  Cumulative Reviews will be due this Friday May 27th and will be marked as the final assignment value 20%.

Math Homework Grade 7/8 M & 8H May 18th/11

Grade 7M:  There will be a Math test tomorrow on "Area and Circumference of Circles". Grades 8M/8H:  There will be a test tomorrow on Surface Area and Volume of Prisms and Cylinders.  Please complete the Practice Test in the textbook as a preparation for the test.

Math Homework Grade 7/8M May 17th/11

Grade 7M:  Complete all remaining Unit Review questions on unit 4.  Test this Thursday.   Grade 8M: Complete all remaining Unit Review questions on unit 4.  Test this Thursday.   Note:  Students will begin reviewing for the Provincial/District Assessment beginning the week of May 23rd.  It is important to remind your child of the importance of the assessment as it is used as a springboard to high school Mathematics.

Grade 8M:  Complete all even numbered questions on " Unit Review" pages 223-225.   Grade 8H:  Complete all even numbered questions on " Unit Review" pages 223-225.   NOTE:  There will be a test for grade 7 and 8 students on Thursday May 19th.

Math Homework Grade 7/8 M May 10th/11

Grade 7M:  Complete questions 1 and 5 page 158-159 on "Interpreting Circle Graphs" and worksheet titled "Interpreting Circle Graphs" for Thursday May 12th.   Grade 8M:  Complete Mid-Unit Review on page 194 and worksheet titled "Volume of a Right Rectangular Prism" for Thursday May 12th.

Math Homework Grade 8H May 9th/11

Grade 8H:  Complete questions 3 to 9 pages 205-206 on "Volume of a Right Triangular Prism".  Tests have been handed back on Pythagorean Theorem and should be corrected and signed for this Wednesday May 11th.
