Hi Everyone!  I hope that you had a good weekend!  Even though it is spring, the snow keeps piling up! Make sure you are dressed for the weather so you can go out to play.      Phys. Ed  Our Phys.Ed days are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.        Library  Our library day is on Friday. Remember to bring your book back so you can take out another one.      Borrow-A-Book/ Reading Comprehension Please make sure that you are reading your book each night and recording it on your log sheet. Use the strategies we have been working on to help with the reading. We have started doing reading comprehension stories for homeowrk. Remember to read the whole story and use the pictures. The answers are in the story. Go back and reread if you can't remember.    Class Project With Texas  We finally reconnected with our friends last week. We missed the first two weeks of March for our March Breaks. The weather was the reason  for missing other days. We had storms on the days we meet. They could not believe the snow that we have. Evan, Caleb and Randy did a great job as the reporters and poetry reader. In Dallas, their tulips are in bloom! Our tulip garden has 80cm of snow on it! We don't think they will be emerging soon. We checked the map to see the other gardens in Canada, United States and around the world. A lot of gardens have already emerged and there are some in bloom. We noticed the ones that are down in the south have bloomed first. They also have warmer temperatures.                         Our Tulip Garden   We planted it in October.        Math  We are still working on our unit on measurement. It would be a good idea to continue working on your strategies, math facts and counting in different ways. Use the sheet we sent home. We hope you have been enjoying the math games we send home each week. We are going to continue sending them home for a couple more weeks. They are great practice for adding and subtracting.    Have an awesome week!
