Hi Everyone!
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family!
Phys. Ed - The Phys. Ed days this week are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Library - Our library day is on Thursday, so make sure you bring your book back so you can sign out another one.
Homework/Borrow-A-Book - Our spelling words this week focus on the short /o/ vowel sound. The word work activity is on this as well. In math we are doing more work with comparing and ordering numbers to 20 and odd and even numbers. Make sure you read your book each night and record it on the log sheet.
Book Fair - Our fisrt school Book Fair of the year will be coming up next week from October 21st - 24th.

The students had a challenge to buid a tower that was taller than them using the blocks they were giver. There were a lot of attempts made and ones that fell over. Eventually everyone was able to complete it. As an added challenge, the team had to communicate without talking!

Picture Retakes/Sibling Pictures - Picture retakes will take place on Tuesday October 8th. Also at this time they will be doing sibling pictures, if you would like them done.
Credit Union Day - Our first Credit Union Day of this year is on Tuesday October 8th.

We are working on the main idea in writing and this week the students have to write 3 sentences about the main idea - Pizza. Stay on topic and write good details. In math we have started working on ordering and comparing numbers to 20 and even and odd numbers. Make sure that you read your book each night and record it on the log sheet.
No School - Thanksgiving Day is on Monday October 14th. Enjoy a wonderful holiday with your family!

For this activity students had to work with a group to build a bridge that could cross between 2 tables and hold a car to drive across. There were a lot of test trials and then try again. We had some success and some that needed more support. Great job!!

We combined math and art in this STEAM activity to create pattern neclaces and bracelets. The students did a super job and made some awesome jewelry!
