Grade 5 Blog!

With the help of Mr. Hayward and Mr. O'Toole, our grade 5 class has developed a blog for our Fish Friends project. We will be adding questions and responses about our fishing community. We will also be adding pictures of our baby salmon through their stages of development. The grade 5 students have the responsibility of taking care of baby Salmon at our school and will be releasing them in early June. We hope that you join us on our journey with the Salmon until their release! :)   -Miss. Hitchman

Notice to Parents:   Our class has the opportunity to work with a school in Holland on a community project, in collaboration with the grade 5 class in Metepenagiag.  We will be using a computer blog to communicate with the school in Holland. We will be learning about each other’s communities and school activities.   In class, I will also be reading “Anne Frank, The Diary of a Young Girl” as a read aloud.  It is in the form of journal entries that Anne Frank wrote herself, during the War. This will be a great study as we will be learning about the history of Holland’s role during the war.   If you would not like your child participating in this book study or would like more information about the book, please contact me at the school.  We will begin the read aloud on Monday, May 9th.   Thank you, Miss. Hitchman
