June 18-21

    Well Grade 5, there are 4 more days of school left and they are going to be busy! :) Here are some some upcoming activities that we will be participating in this week:   Monday: Choir & "Oink" Play video taping in the morning               Science Playground Design Presentations Tuesday: TRACK & FIELD Day! @ JMH Track. This will take place all day, so please bring water, sunscreen, bug spray, bag lunch, etc as it is going to be a warm day!   Wednesday: Gym (Bring gym clothes) We will be going on a Nature Walk.                    Classroom Award presentation   Thursday: LAST day of school. School Award Ceremony                Report Cards   It has been an absolute pleasure having you all in my class this term and I know you will all have a terrific Grade 6 year! Remember that anything is possible, so follow your dreams!   Enjoy the break and have a safe and enjoyable summer!   -Miss. Hitchman

June 7-Homework

The grade 5 class had a FANTASTIC field trip to the Blackville Park to release our baby salmon and to the Fish Hatchery in South Esk. It was a beautiful day and the fish were eager to go into the river and explore their new world!   Thank you to Ms. Cooper and all the parents who came out to spend the beautiful day with us! Pictures will be posted tomorrow!   Homework: Book report signed and return Bring your bag you would take into hiding for 2 years. Choose your priorities Bring Gym clothes

June 6- Field Trip information!

Reminder to grade 5 students:   Our Field trip is tomorrow and we will be going to release our baby salmon first at the Blackville park. Then we will be arriving at the Fish Hatchery for a Tour and then a lunch. Remember to bring a bag lunch, sunscreen, fly spray, water and rubber boots.   It is going to be a great day! Congratulations Archery teams!

 A big congratulations goes out to the elementary and middle school archery teams who represented Nelson Rural in the Archery Tournament over the weekend! Nelson brought back a 3rd place trophy in the elementary division and a 1st place trophy in the middle school division! Dylan Dawson also won 3rd overall shooter in the elementary division and 1st overall shooter in the middle school division! Landon Audet won 2nd overall shooter in the middle school division! Great job everyone! You all did a fantastic job!
