Notice to Parents:   Our class has the opportunity to work with a school in Holland on a community project, in collaboration with the grade 5 class in Metepenagiag.  We will be using a computer blog to communicate with the school in Holland. We will be learning about each other’s communities and school activities.   In class, I will also be reading “Anne Frank, The Diary of a Young Girl” as a read aloud.  It is in the form of journal entries that Anne Frank wrote herself, during the War. This will be a great study as we will be learning about the history of Holland’s role during the war.   If you would not like your child participating in this book study or would like more information about the book, please contact me at the school.  We will begin the read aloud on Monday, May 9th.   Thank you, Miss. Hitchman

Here are some suggestions for our Medieval feast! Remember, you do not need to bring enough to feed each person. For instance, if you decide to brign apples, you could bring 3-4 and we will cut them up. Also, when you have decided on what you will contribute to the feast, let me know so that I can approve it.   Breads rye bread oats eel fish lamb mutton barley soup/bread pork various birds chicken deer rabbitapples fruits vegetables cakes No potatoes, tomatoes or chocolate these were New World Foods.
