Hi everyone, I hope you had a lovely weekend. We have a very busy week a head of us before our long Thanksgiving weekend.

Literacy- We will continue to read the ABC letter tracing book for our Borrow-A-Book program.  Students are to trace each letter by following the arrows with their finger. Say each letter name, letter sound and animal name. Please read the book each night and fill in the reading log, have students print their own name.Return your borrow-a-book bag to class on Friday.

Math- Try this activity-roll a dice or make number cards 1-6. Students roll the dice, or flip a card and make a set of that many items. Play a board game together,have students roll the dice, see if they can recognize the number of dots without counting.Have fun!!

Library- We go to the library on Tuesday.Please return your book to school, so you will be able to sign out a new book. Thanks and happy reading.

Phys. Ed. Classes are on Tuesday to Thursday.Be sure to wear comfy clothes.

Thanksgiving Meal-The cafeteria will be serving Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday, Oct.7th. This is the only meal served that day.

Fire Prevention Week- We will be discussing Fire Safety this week at school. Please review the material sent home and practice a home fire drill and going to your meeting place with your children.Also, please remember to check the batteries in your smoke detectors.Thanks!

Terry Fox Walk- Our Terry Fox Walk will be Friday, October 8th.We have been talking about Terry and watching videos of him.Please share your thoughts and memories of Terry with your child. Terry was truly an amazing young man who set out on an ambitious journey to run across Canada on a prosthetic leg,to raise money for cancer research. Sadly, despite his courageous efforts of running a marathon a day for 143 days, Terry's dream came to an end. He asked that his marathon of hope continue on without him. On Friday, we will do our part to keep Terry's dream alive. Please send in a donation for our walk. Thanks! 

Picture Re-takes and Sibling Photos-please fill out and return the purple sheet if you wish for your child to have retakes or a sibling picture.

Fletcher's Farm- we have rescheduled our trip to Fletchers Farm for Thursday,October 21st.

Please remember to pack your water bottle and bring 2 extra clean mask to class with you.

Happy Thanksgiving  We have no school on Monday,October 11th as we celebrate Thanksgiving Day. We have so many blessings to be thankful for, may you enjoy your long weekend with your family.
