Over the summer break district renovated our gym floor. Students, parents, and staff are reminded that outdoor footwear is prohibited in the gym. Students are required to have indoor shoes for school and Phys. Ed classes.

If anyone has old sneakers, in good shape, that their child has grown out of, we would gladly accept them to use as extras in case a student forgets theirs. Thank you for your cooperation!
Nelson Rural Students and supporters truly showed their big hearts this year. Under the guidance of Miss Baldwin students from K-8 raised an amazing $7188.85 for the Jump Rope for Heart Program.
Grade two students recently completed a unit on the life cycle of the butterfly. The students were able to watch the development of real butterflies in the classroom, from caterpillar to butterfly stage. Miss Sullivan and Mrs. Dickson’s grade two classes kept journals and were able to learn about how butterflies have grown and changed over the years. On June 12th, the two classes held a celebration releasing their butterflies back into their natural habitat.
